Mass at 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. A letter from Bishop Callahan concerning the clergy abuse crisis is attached to this bulletin. This letter is going out to all the households throughout the Diocese of La Crosse to reflect the thoughts, prayers, and wishes of the Bishop as we as a Church work through our own thoughts and feelings. Please take time to read the letter carefully and prayerfully. There will be more to come. Finance Council Meeting Tuesday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rectory. WOW! What a great day we had for our fall Chicken Que & Bake Sale!! We sold out of 1500 meals and had to turn away people who did not have tickets. We are especially sorry that people who had tickets did not get meals, including some of the many workers who spent many hours volunteering their time to the success. We gave them their money back and hope we are able to serve them next time. It was especially wonderful to have so many people, especially new people, involved in making the day such a success and hearing the workers say that they met some wonderful new people who are members of the parish. It is in the community building and working together to lighten the load for everyone that is the real success!! There are so many people to thank for their hard work and they cannot be all named, but a special word of thanks goes to Gary and Karmin VanDomelen for all the advance work, as well as to Ron Fitzpatrick and Theresa Olson. And a HUGE thank you to EVERYONE who helped make the day such a great success. See you in the spring!! Bus Trip to the Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson to the Christmas Show, Elf, Saturday, November 10. The cost is only $95. It has deteriorated over the years due to salt use as well as freezing and thawing. We are putting heat coils into the new platform to eliminate (or at least significantly reduce) the use of salt in the winter. We apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime. The Diocesan Annual Appeal Target is $65, We have $16, in Pledges and Gifts to date. WE NEED EVERY FAMILY make this goal. Cards can be returned to the Parish Office or mailed to the Diocese.

Immersion Retreat November 9-11 Chula Vista Resort, WI Dells - The Immersion Retreat is a time for young people in grades 9-12 to come together to grow closer in their relationship with Jesus Christ, to understand their faith on a deeper level regardless of where they are in their faith journey, and to connect with other Catholic young people from around the Diocese of La Crosse and beyond. If you keep up with us on our FaceBook page, you know our youth have done some pretty great things! In addition to our annual events, we added a few new opportunities this past year. A few of our high school students were able to attend a week long camp, hosted by Viterbo University, dedicated to service in our community and growing in Franciscan values. They came back with a new outlook on their faith life. Our middle school students embarked on a brand new adventure this summer with our first ever Middle School Ministry Camp. It was a huge success that I look forward to growing in the coming years. Just in the next month, we have three youth events Our annual Pumpkin Palooza for elementary students, the Diocesan Immersion Retreat in Wisconsin Dells for high school students, and a trip to the nursing home for our middle students to make fall crafts and play bingo with the residents. Of course, all of these things have a cost, and I would like to keep that cost at a minimum for all our youth who are interested in growing in their faith and involvement with the Church. You can help! Purchase stock in our youth! You can purchase stocks for $25 a share, as many shares as you want. 100% of the money goes back into our Youth Ministry programs. All stock holders will receive stock reports of the benefits the parish has received by your investment. Those that purchase two or more shares will receive personalized notes from students who have benefitted from your investment. How can you become a Stock Holder?
