Today we read of the Baptism of Jesus, the Holy Spirit descending in the form of a dove and God s well pleased voice from heaven. This glorious moment was the beginning of Christ s public ministry, calling of apostles and a turning point in the greatest story ever told. For us it is also a reminder that as baptized Christians we too, all these years later, still have a part to play in that story. We are called to spread the word of Christ s salvation as 21 st century apostles.
