You have set your glory above the heavens. How excellent, O Lord. When I consider your heavens, and the work of your fingers, The moon and the stars, which you have set in place. But what is man, that you are mindful of him? You have made him a little lower than the angels, And have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him ruler over all creation; You have put things under his feet: all flocks and herds, And the beast of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, All that swim the paths of the seas. 5 Youth singers in temporary church Seeds & Fertilizer Distribution Quote by church staff in 2014 One day Boko Haram will be a thing of the past. One day those abducted will be brought back alive. One day Northeast Nigeria will be peaceful. It is four years later, and One Day still has not arrived. Violence continues to plague the Northeast. Many are still displaced and do not have enough food. The insecurity means people who are used to supporting themselves have no means to do so; making them dependent on outside aid. Despite the persecution and difficulty, Ekklesiyar Yan uwa a Nigeria (Church of the Brethren in Nigeria) continues to meet and grow. The Nigeria Crisis Response has done an incredible job at providing relief. Since 2014, Nigeria Crisis has assisted thousands of people with: Food & Medicine, Shelter & Sanitation, Peace Building & Trauma Recovery, Agricultural & Livelihoods, Education, and Church strengthening, recovery and rebuilding The journey to recovery is long and the need is still very great. United Nations 2018 OCHA report estimates 10.2 million people are still in need of humanitarian assistance. Everyone in Northeast Nigeria has been affected by the Boko Haram Insurgency!
