1 Recent news from our International Clubs South Sudan The Reformed Church in South Sudan contacted Rev. Nandwa. The denomination would like an introduction of the program and thereafter training of new head counsellors. As you might be aware, South Sudan is a young country in Africa born with the help of Kenya. It is true that they still have challenges in development; however, Christianity is already established there. The Church there is interested in the Boys Cadet program. The congregations there would appreciate greatly to have the Cadet program so that it can help mentor the boys both in the church and the community so that they may grow like Christ in all areas of life. I believe your support will be a blessing for the young people and the community at large in this region as we help them realise their dream of helping boys grow as mature and responsible men of God. Beragujfalu, Subcarpathia, Ukraine When this club started a few years ago we provided them with some Bible lessons, a Cadet flag, some guidebooks, a copy of the Gold Sheet, and some bookmarks with the landmarks. Rev. Zoltan Toth, the head counselor of this club, recently ed us. I need badges and bookmark (on one side a boy and the emblem on the other side the Landmarks of CCC). We got [some] when our cadet club was founded officially a couple of years ago. Since than many new kids has come and we would like to give them this bookmarks. Every cadet meeting has a Bible study, hymn singing (Living for Jesus). The new ones also need bookmark to see it every morning when reading the Bible and every cadet meeting. I feel shame that I promised them for the kids and simply had no time and money to go to a city, find a special shop and order this kind of work from them. God knows that how hard and poor the life here it has been since the last Ukrainian revolution. I do not want to complain about it. I am glad that we can run our ministry in a solid way what our possibilities make possible us to do. God bless this ministry and the children love it so much.

2 Migori Region (southwest Kenya) Rev. Daniel Nandwa visited with leaders from the Reformed Church of East Africa (RCEA) Sare and Shinyanga Baptist churches. These are two congregations that currently do not have a Cadet program. RCEA Sare We had a very fruitful meeting with the leadership as shown below. They resolved to embrace the program for their boys and the community boys. This area was affected more with the HIV Aids hence single families and orphans are part of the congregation and the entire community. There is need for the boys program since we have boys from single mothers hence need for a father figure.

3 Shinyanga Baptist The congregation is passionately interested in the program and we had time to explain what and how the program works for the boys hence the entire community in the region. They were embraced and resolved to organize for the training. The congregation has up to 30 boys but with the potential of getting more from the community.

4 Nakuru region (west-central Kenya) Rev. Nandwa met with leaders from several clubs in this area. At the end of their meeting he was able to provide each of the leaders with some shirts, Bibles, and guidebooks. From left are Gift Arodi, Athanasius Machuka, Daniel Nandwa, Alfred Orido and Joseph Ndung u. The group is organizing a joint activity to create awareness of the program in the city of Nakuru. The activity will culminate with a road walk in Nakuru and a special Sunday service. Race Course Baptist - Young stars for Christ, The head counselor is Mr. Gift Arodi who participated in the training offered by Larry, Jim and Steve on their last trip to Kenya. Currently 15 boys meet weekly but the number goes up during the school holidays. Apart from the boys being pasionate about the program, the church has continued to provide the required facilitation. Faith Restoration Ministries Shabab This club is recently founded and already shows the potential of growth. It has 10 boys meeting weekly after church service. The club has more boys especialy during this coming long school holiday. The number is expected to be upto 25 boys both from the church and the commnity which is more of a middle class residence. We haveone trainbed head counselor by the name Joseph Ndon go. They have scheduled to have the boys visit the national park in the neighbourhood during the holiday, as an exploration activity.

5 Nakuru Baptist Church Boys Cadet Club This club is headed by headcounselor Alfred Orido, whose career is capentry. He provides his weekend time for the boys when they meet on a weekly basis. The club has been established among the boys at the church school. The boys board at the school and they join with the community boys who come during the meeting. This is one of the big clubs in Nakuru. The club has 35 boys from the school and 15 from the community. The club has a junior counselor who helps with the work at the club and they have appointed a leader for each cadri making it manageable.
