1 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. I Corinthians 9:24-25 The Dates for Beyond The Gold 2012 are June 23 rd and June 25th June 29th!!! (Applications are due May 29 th!)

2 Who is it for? This event is for any student who has completed 6 th grade by the time the event begins. Dates of the Event: Mandatory training is June 1 st 3 rd and then the actual event dates are June 23 rd and June 25 th -29 th. Cost for Event: The cost to participate in this event is $56. This covers your training, 2 meals, your t-shirt, project supplies, gas, etc. Description of the Event: The last several years more and more people have asked me about somehow serving our community in a similar way to the way we serve the communities of Montana. This year we are making that dream a reality! This event is designed especially for middle school students (though I still would like high school leader type students to be a part). Students will receive intentional training on how to start conversations, share the gospel, share their testimony, work with a team, and lead younger children. After they have received this training they will then roll up sleeves and jump into serving the city of Federal Way through various service projects. Then for a week they will lead elementary aged kids in sports camps, bible times, fun activities, and more. Students will be stretched as individuals and as a team. Unity will be built in working together and processing together what God teaches them during this exciting week. We have partnered with Youth Ministries International to make sure our students get the very best training and our sports camps are done with excellence. I am very excited about this event because it provides middle school students with the opportunity to be well prepared in advance of Montana in high school and for a life of service to our Lord!
