1 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting If my people, who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

2 No man is greater than his prayer life. The pastor who is not praying is playing; the people who are not praying are straying. We have many organizers, but few agonizers; many players and payers, few pray-ers, many singer, few clingers; lots of pastors, few wrestlers; many fears, few tears; much fashion, little passion; many interferers, few intercessors; many writer, but few fighters. Failing here, we fail everywhere. -Leonard Ravenhill Every prayer contained in this devotional will begin with thanksgiving and end with praise. 3 Why Should I Fast? Fasting: Refraining from food for a spiritual purpose -Jentezen Franklin s fasting Fasting: 1. Looses the bonds of wickedness. 2. Undoes heavy burdens. 3. Lets the oppressed go free. 4. Breaks every yoke. Isaiah 58:6 Is this not the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo heavy burdens, and that you break every yoke? -NKJV Mark 9:29 Jesus answered, This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting. -NKJV ( speaking of when the disciples tried to cast out a demon unsuccessfully.) Daniel Fast approved foods Fruits and Vegetables: All fresh, frozen, and canned. Pseudo-grains: buckwheat, quinoa, wild rice Legumes: lentils, peanuts, beans, and peas Whole Grains: oats, popcorn,millet, brown rice, barley, bulgur wheat, whole wheat flour. Nuts and Seeds: dry roasted, sprouted, raw. Unrefined Oils: red palm, walnut, coconut, flax seed, sesame seed. Seasonings: vinegar, liquid aminos, soy sauce, spices, herbs, nutritional yeast Beverages: nut milk, water, fresh pressed juice Foods to avoid: Sweeteners (natural and artificial), animal products (dairy, eggs, fish, beef, poultry), processed foods (artificial flavors, preservatives, etc), leavened breads (contains yeast), refined grains (white flour/rice), refined oils ( soybean, canola, vegetable), deep fried foods, beverages (alcohol, coffee, tea). 4 Day 1 January 10, 2019 Corporate Repentance Heavenly Father, We rejoice in Your loving kindness; we are thankful for Your mercy! Forgive us, for our iniquities have made a separation between us and our sins have caused you to hide your face from us. Our hands are defiled with blood, and our fingers with iniquity: our lips have spoken lies, our tongues mutter perversity. We do not call for justice or plead for truth. We trust in empty words and speak lies. Our feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood. Our thoughts are of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in our paths. The way of peace we have not known, and there is no justice in our ways. We have made ourselves crooked paths and the way we take caused us not to know peace. Forgive us, even though we know you, we do not glorify you as God. We are ungrateful, we have become futile in our thoughts and our foolish hearts are darkened. We have professed to be wise and have become fools. We have changed the glory of the incorruptible God into images made like corruptible man. Do not give us up to our uncleanness and the lusts of our hearts. We hae dishonored our bodies among ourselves and we have exchanged the truth of God for a lie. 5 Day 2 January 11, 2019 Personal Repentance Lord, Thank you for your mercy and kindness. I ask out of that mercy and kindness that you would create in me a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Enlighten what is dark in me and cleanse me from my secret faults. Renew my mind in the areas where my sin controls me. Forgive me for where I have wronged you., father, and give me a heart quick to repent. Do not give me over to my sin or allow my heart to be hardened by my sins. Produce in me Godly sorrow that will cause repentance;. Reveal in me, the ways I think I am pure and weigh my motive. Wash me and sanctify me by the water of your word. I receive your forgiveness and thank you for you are faithful and just to forgive, cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I honor and glorify your holy name, Father God. In Jesus Name, Amen. 6 Day 3 January 12, 2019 Strength God, Thank you for this new day. I pray that you would grant me, according to the riches of your glory, that I may be strengthened with might through your Spirit in my one man so that I may be able to complete this fast. I thank you, that no temptation will overtake me except for that which is common to man and that with every temptation that I face, you will provide the way out. I thank you, God that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Let not my end be my destruction and do no let my belly be my god. I ask that you forgive me, Father where I have made my belly my god. Cause me to remember that man does not live on bread alone but on every word spoken by God. Give me a hunger and thirst for righteousness so that I may be blessed. I place my trust in you for your word says that those who trust in the Lord, will find new strength. 7 Day 4 January 13, 2019 Pastors/Leaders God, Thank you for our Pastors and leaders. We ask that our pastors and leaders here at Trinity Church and within the body of Christ; would be sober minded and watchful of their adversary the devil. Your word says God, that if anyone lacks wisdom to ask of you, who gives generously to all without reproach, so we ask on behalf of the pastors and leadership for divine wisdom. We pray that the pastors and leaders would be shepherds after your own heart who will feed the body of Christ with knowledge and understanding. Send to them good friends who will be there to hold up their arms during battle like Aaron and Hur did for Moses. Make the aim of their charge; love that is issued from a pure heart, good conscience, and a sincere faith. We ask that our pastors and leaders would seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and that above all else that they would guard their hearts. We also ask that these leaders would shepherd the flock of God that is given them, exercising oversight, not under compulsion but, willingly as God would have them; not for shameful gain but, eagerly. God we praise you for your faithfulness and thank you for strengthening the pastors and leaders and protecting them from the evil one. Great is your faithfulness O God! 8 Day 5 January 14, 2019 ADY/Seniors Lord, Thank you for the ADY ministry and our seniors. We ask that they would teach the younger generations from their wisdom and life experiences and that they would proclaim God s power and care to the generations. We pray that you renew the members of ADY and the seniors strength so that they may not grow weary after so many years of faithful service to you. We pray that they would not grow weary in doing good so at the right time they can reap a harvest for not giving up. We thank you Lord, for the seeds that this generation has planted and watered and you bring the increase. Pour out your Holy Spirit upon them, God; give them dreams and visions. Worthy is you Name! 9 Day 6 January 15, 2019 Men of Issachar God, We thank you, for the Men of Issachar ministry. We pray that these men would be men who are led by the Word of God. Let your word be a lamp unto to their feet and a light upon their paths. We thank you, that the steps of good men are ordered by the Lord and you are ordering their steps. Lead and guide them into all truth. We pray for ears to hear. These men are your sheep and they hear your voice. A voice of a stranger they will not follow. Whether is is to the right or to the left the Men of Issachar will hear your voice behind them saying, This is the way, walk in it. We pray that these men would be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that the labor they do is not in vain. We pray that godly friendships will be developed among these men causing them to become friends who stick closer than brothers. The kind of friendships full of great love, the love that lays down one s life for his friend. All our adoration belongs to you, God. In Jesus Name, Amen. 10 Day 7 January 16, 2019 Splendour Heavenly Father, Thank you God for the ladies of Splendour. Let this ladies ministries be a ministry where believers would bear one another s burden and so fulfill the law of Christ as well as encouraging one another so that none will be hardened by sin s deceitfulness. Let the ladies of Splendour, throw off everything that hinders them and rid themselves of the sin that so easily entangles; so that together they are able to run the race that God has set before each of them with perseverance. We pray that godly friendships would be developed and these ladies would become friends who stick closer than sisters. The kind of friendships full of great love, the love that lays down one s life for her friend. We pray the Splendour ladies would be devoted to one another in love; honoring one another above themselves. We bless your name God. In Jesus Name, Amen. 11 Day 8 January 17, 2019 Royal Rangers Heavenly Father, We thank you for the new ministry starting in the church. We pray for the leaders of the Royal Rangers, give them the strength and wisdom to work with the young men put in their charge. Provide opportunities for these boys to see your glory and to grow in faith. 12 Day 9 January 18, 2019 Missionettes Abba, We thank you for these mighty women who are invested in our girls lives. We thank you for this new ministry. We pray that as the examples to this young generation that the leaders of missionettes will be anxious for nothing, but, investing everything in prayer and supplication. With thanksgiving, letting there request be made known to God. I pray the peace of God on this ministry. His faithfulness endures forever! 13 Day 10 January 19, 2019 Wake Heavenly Father, We thank you for this mighty generation! We pray that the students of Wake would not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, stand in the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of the scornful but, that their delight would be in the law of the Lord and in His law they would meditate day and night. We pray that they would be like trees planted by the rivers of living water bringing forth their fruit in season, whose leaf shall not wither and whatever they choose to do will prosper. Strengthen them God, that they would not conform to the patterns of this world but, be transformed by the renewing of their minds. Our prayer for the students of Wake is that scripture would not depart from their mouths, but that they would meditate on it. Make their ways prosperous and give them success. Your name alone is worthy of our praise! In Jesus Name, Amen. 14 Day 11 January 20, Lord, We thank you for this generation. We thank you that this generation will be one that is unashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation. We pray that the youth would free from the evil desires of youth, but they would instead pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace. We thank you that the youth of 212 and youth in general would take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but that the youth would instead expose those works of darkness. We thank you that the youth would not follow a crown in wrongdoing, but they that they would be imitators of God. Worthy is the Lamb who was slain. In Jesus Name, Amen. 15 Day 12 January 21, 2019 TC Kids Abba, We give thanks to you for the precious blessings from the TC Kids. Forgive us, for anyway that we have hindered them from coming to you. Help us to prioritize teaching the children (within our own families, churches, communities, countries, and around the world) your ways that as we walk upon our ways, as we lie down, and we rise. We thank you Abba, that out of the mouths of babes, you establish strength. Raise up a generation of children, of instant obedience, just as Abraham was obedient to you Lord. Instead of instant gratification of this world. Bear witness to them Holy Spirit, that they are children of God. We pray that the kids of TC Kids would be beacons of light to the lost in our community. We also pray that the children would begin leading unbelieving parents to you Lord. We exalt your name Jesus! 16 Day 13 January 22, 2019 Creative Team Heavenly Father, Thank you for the ministry of the Creative Team. We pray that you would fill the Creative team with your Holy Spirit skill, intelligence, knowledge and craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, for the work in every skill and craft just like you God who enabled Bezalel. We pray the members of this team would do it as unto you Lord. We pray that this team would worship you Lord with gladness; coming before you with joyful song. You are our exceedingly great reward Father! In Jesus Name, Amen. 17 Day 14 January 23, 2019 Sunday Morning Team Heavenly Father, We thank you for the Sunday Morning Team. We pray that you would give this team a spirit of wisdom and revelation of the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ; enlightening the eyes of each member s understanding so that this team may know what is the hope of your calling and your glorious inheritance in the Saints. Your Word says that without vision our people perish; so we ask that you would begin to show this team the vision that you have for Trinity Church and they would present your vision with clarity. We pray that there would be no divisions among this team, but unity in mind and in thought. We worship you, Lord! In Jesus Name, Amen. 18 Day 15 January 24, 2019 Portales, NM, USA God, We ask that the leaders of local, state, and federal government would seek you daily and delight to know your ways. Take us back to a place where Portales, New Mexico and the United States are known as places that practice righteousness. That we would be places who do not forsake the ordinances of you God. We pray that the government officials would ask of you Lord for the ordinances of justice and that our Leaders would take delight in approaching you. We ask that you would give our leaders wisdom and they and understanding out of their sight. Preserve justice within them. We pray that the leaders of our local, state, and federal government would seek justice, love mercy and walk humbly with the King of Kings. Extend your loving kindness to all generations! 19 Day 16 January 26, 2019 The Lost Heavenly Father, We thank you that you wish for all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of truth, including (loved one s name). God we ask that you would take his/her heart of stone and turn it into a heart of flesh, putting your Spirit within them. We thank you God that your word is like a fire, and it is also like a hammer that breaks rocks into pieces. Break (loved one s name) hard heart by the power of your word. We pray that ----(loved one s name) would answer the call of the Holy Spirit, drawing them to you. We ask that you would place in their path someone to guide them to a relationship with you. We ask that (loved one s name) would bow their knee and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Holy is your name Jesus! 20 Day 17 January 27, 2019 Our Schools Lord God,, We thank you for the opportunity for our children to be educated. God we ask that you are like a wall of fire around our schools and your glory is in the midst of those schools. We thank you that our children are children taught about the lord and great is their peace. Our children are established in righteousness far from oppression, not fearful, and terror shall not come near them. We thank you God that there is angelic protection over those schools because your Word says that angels are given to those who inherit salvation and our children are heirs of salvation. We ask that you would strike any demonic forces plotting against the safety of the children or the staff of our schools with blindness, like Elisha prayed against the Syrians. We pray that if there are any demonic forces working within our schools, that you would send confusion into their camps and the their exploits would b e brought into the light. We thank you for a hedge of protection around our children the staff and the school properties. The glory of the Lord is our rearguard! In Jesus Name, Amen. 21 Day 18 January 28, 2019 Marriages/Family Lord God Almighty, Thank you for our marriages and families. We pray that the wives would be like fruitful vines within the Christian homes and respect their husbands. I pray that the children would be like olive shoots around the tables. We ask that the husbands would love their wives and children like Christ loves the church. Help us to train up our children in the way that they shall go so they will not depart from the Lord. We thank you that our children will honor their parents and glorify their Father in Heaven. Great is thy faithfulness God! In Jesus name, Amen. 22 Day 19 January 29, 2019 Body of Christ Lord, We thank you for our brothers and sisters in Christ. We bring before you today the members of the body of Christ. We pray that as the body we would become doers of the word not just hearers of the word. We pray that the foundation of the church would continue to be built with Christ Jesus as the chief cornerstone. We pray that the church would walk in a manner worthy of its calling with humility, gentleness, patience, bearing with one another in love, and with an eagerness in maintaining the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace,. We pray the the body of Christ would learn to do right, seek justice defend the oppressed, take up the cause of the fatherless and plead the cause of the widows. Let us live for the Lord our God with all of our hearts and love our neighbors as ourselves. Let us not turn our ears from the truth. We as the the body would be filled with the knowledge of your will in wisdom and spiritual understanding; walking worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God as well as being strengthened with all might, according to your glorious power. 23 Day 20 January 30, 2019 Worship Heavenly Father, We thank you for you are the one name under heaven whereby we can be saved! Your mercy endure forever! You are called wonderful counselor, Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, and you are greatly to be praised! Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains! Your Justice flows like the ocean tides. You are the God of the whole earth! Blessed be the name of the Lord, from this time forth and forever more! The God who called me is faithful! The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him! My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and portion forever! Give thanks to the Lord! This faithful love continues forever! In Jesus Name, Amen. 24 Day 21 January 31, 2019 Declare Something Examples: This day we will choose As for me and my house, we choose to serve the Lord! I am the head and not the tail. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places. I am equipped with every good thing to do God s will It is no longer I who live but, Christ in me. I will not conform to the patterns of this world but, I will be transformed by the renewing of my mind. The plans God has for me are good, not evil. I have a future and hope.
