There were countless others, all faithful disciples, gathered worshiping... That old man who sang solos in the choir, That young man whose life was cut short in that accident... Many: O Lord what a vision. But the most amazing thing I saw as I looked over Jordan... Many: Yes? Yes? Was the man standing in the shallows, smiling, saying Many: "Welcome home." 3 We Fall Down We fall down, we lay our crowns at the feet of Jesus; the greatness of mercy and love at the feet of Jesus and we cry, Holy, holy, holy. And we cry Holy, holy, holy is the Lamb. 9:30 am Worship Service After Service: Coffee Fellowship Reader: Organists The Weekend Food program is serving 8 families/17 children. So far these are all at the elementary school. We have expanded the program to the secondary school but have had no requests for food, yet. The program needs a supply of PAPER grocery bags with handles. Leave them in the shopping cart or the blue box outside the food storage area. Thanks for all you do to make this ministry happen. On Sunday, November 9 th Aja McCullough Beers, Director of Development and Communications at Emma Norton Services will be with us in worship to share the story and mission of Emma Norton Services. Our 2014 Thank Offering is designated to this mission. We are thanking God for their witness in our lives as those who have kept the faith and now wear the crown of Righteousness because of their Lord Jesus the Christ. All are welcome, just as Jesus welcomed all to eat with him. Saint and sinner, male or female, skeptic or wise, slave or free no one was turned away at the meal. It is only required that we come with open hearts to this table, realizing that God might do something miraculous in our lives and the life of this community as we remember, honor and marvel at this gift we are given through the limitless grace of God, the self-giving love of the Christ, and the life giving power of the Holy Spirit. 4 PROFESSION OF FAITH We are not alone, we live in God's world. We believe in God: who has created and is creating, who has come in Jesus, the Word made flesh, to reconcile and make new, who works in us and others by the Spirit. We trust in God. We are called to be the church: to celebrate God's presence, to love and serve others, to seek justice and resist evil, to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen, our judge and our hope. In life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us. We are not alone. Thanks be to God. BISHOP OUGH S DAY in RIVER VALLEY DISTRICT Saturday, November 22, 2014 Bishop Ough will be visiting in River Valley District on Saturday, November 22.
