Missy Rekitzke CELEBRATION OF HOLY COMMUNION Pastor: Christ our Lord invites to his table all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another. Therefore, let us confess our sin before God and one another. CONFESSION AND PARDON Merciful God, we confess that we have not loved you with our whole heart. We have failed to be an obedient church. We have not done your will, we have broken your law, we have rebelled against your love, we have not loved our neighbors, and we have not heard the cry of the needy. Forgive us, we pray. Free us for joyful obedience, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Pastor: Hear the good news: Christ died for us while we were yet sinners; that proves God's love toward us. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven! In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven! All: Glory to God. Amen. THE GREAT THANKSGIVING The Lord be with you. And also with you. 5 Holy are you, and blessed is your Son Jesus Christ. By the baptism of his suffering, death, and resurrection you gave birth to your church, delivered us from slavery to sin and death, and made with us a new covenant by water and the Spirit. On the night in which he gave himself up for us, he took bread, gave thanks to you, broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said: "Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you. Do this is remembrance of me." When the supper was over, he took the cup, gave thanks to you, gave it to his disciples, and said: "Drink from this, all of you; this is my blood of the new covenant, poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me." And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ's offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith. Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again. Pour out your Holy Spirit on us gathered here, and on these gifts of bread and wine. Make them be for us the body and blood of Christ, that we may be for the world the body of Christ, redeemed by his blood. By your Spirit make us one with Christ, one with each other, and one in ministry to all the world, until Christ comes in final victory and we feast at his heavenly banquet. Through your Son Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in your holy church, all honor and glory is yours, almighty Father, now and for ever. Amen. Now, as children of God let us SING the Lord s Prayer together: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. GIVING THE BREAD AND CUP Prayer after receiving: Eternal God, we give you thanks for this holy mystery in which you have given yourself to us. Grant that we may go into the world in the strength of your Spirit, to give ourselves for others, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

CHURCH OFFICE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED The church office is in need of volunteers to help cover the phones & other tasks in the morning 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Coverage is needed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays. Starting July 1 st Thursday will be needed. If you have a friendly voice for our visitors & callers this is the spot for you! 7 TABITHA CIRCLE Change in location Monday, May 7:00 at Eileen's house in Easton Club on Oxford Road. RADA SPRING FUNDRAISER Sarah Circle will be accepting Rada Cutlery orders through May 31. As always, all profit benefits Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence. There are several items that are absolute necessities for every kitchen as summer quickly approaches. All six (6) kinds of paring knives which sell for $4.75 or $6.00 each are very popular. Another two of the best sellers are the tomato $5.50 and the ice cream All are available with either the original silver color or black handle. Product catalogs are available in the Gathering Area. This is a great service opportunity for families. CALLING ALL 2 YEAR OLDS! St. Mark s Pre School still has one opening in their M/W Two Year old class for the school year. All children must be two by August 31 to be eligible for the class. Children attend class from 9am- 12pm on Mondays & Wednesdays. Come play, learn & grow with us! 11 INFORMATION UPDATE! SHHHHHH! Attention! Attention! Once again, YOU have an opportunity to bless our youth by sharing in our LOVE BUCKET ministry. We now have 11 young people who will be going on the Confirmation Retreat this year (May 11-12) & who will be joining the church on Sunday, May 20 th (Pentecost Sunday!). Each confirmand will be given a bucket to show how much we love them & how excited we are for them to be a part of the church. The buckets will be in the church office in the front area so you can stop by any time the office is open to bring something to show your support (suggestions: cards, letters, candy, stickers, small gifts, use your imagination! Have fun!). Every year this is a highlight for the kids! But keep quiet so we can surprise them on Confirmation Sunday, May 20 th at the 9:30 a.m. service. 15 Summer is Coming! (which means so is our Park Service!) This more casual service will start again on Sunday, May 27 th at 9:45am, at the Idlewild park pavilion. Wear your shorts & bring your lawn chairs, blankets, & little people! Bring your neighbors too! This worship service has grown a lot in the past few years, and as such, we need your help to continue its success. We need folks to serve as Ushers & Greeters, Communion servers, Worship leaders and Lay Readers. We especially need some new folks to help with the sound system set up. If you are not already involved with serving at the Park, please contact me. We would love to get more people on the schedule.
