Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level 1 Training Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level 1 Training is coming to Juneau! Young Adult Group Are you between the ages of 18 and 35? Locations and activities vary. This week, we will be having a holy hour of Eucharistic Adoration at the Cathedral. Volunteer Coordinator Bridget can arrange for a Red Cross volunteer to come to their house to check smoke detectors and/or change smoke detector batteries. Call for more information. Juneau s Love Inc. Needs Our Help! There is a great need right now for specific personal care and food items for clients who are transitioning from charity housing or shelters to a very small rental apartment. Due to space limitations in the apartment, the personal items should not be too large (like Costco sizes) but not as small as a travel size. Most of the clients are single. Currently they are very low on the following items: PERSONAL CARE ITEMS FOR BOTH MEN & WOMEN: Deodorant for men & women Shaving cream men & women Regular size Shampoo FOOD ITEMS: Peanut butter: smooth or chunky; Jelly Pancake Mix and syrup Call (907) ext. 29 for drop off locations A Blessing for Food on Thanksgiving God most provident, we join all creation in raising to you a hymn of thanksgiving through Jesus Christ, you Son. For generation upon generation peoples of this land have sung of your bounty; we too offer you praise for the rich harvest we have received at your hands. Bless us and this food which we share with grateful hearts. Continue to make our land fruitful and let our love for you be seen in our pursuit of peace and justice and in our generous response to those in need.
