Canon Dr. Justin Holcomb How do you proclaim the good news in the 21st Century? Learn how technology can help you get the good news into the hands of those who need it most. This hands-on class covers websites as well as social media staples Facebook and Twitter. We ll learn how to get local media to promote church events and cover other communication applications such as podcasting, blogging, and Skype. Syllabus: Class day begins with Morning Prayer at 8:30 a.m. and concludes by 3:30 p.m. Coffee is available throughout the day. There is a 45-minute lunch break. During a Happening weekend, participants experience the love of Christ as shown through prayer, worship, and the ministry of peers, clergy, and lay adults. The Happeners are encouraged to make their renewed faith a apart of their everyday lives. Happening shows how Christianity can keep pace with the many changes in our lives and our world. The Diocese of Central Florida is sponsoring Changing Church for a Changing World: A Fresh Expressions Vision Day at University Carillon United Methodist Church at 1395 Campus View Court, Oviedo on Thursday, May 11 th, 9 a.m. to3:30 p.m. The Vision Day is open to all clergy and laity.
