2 Each Sunday is marked by excellence in worship as Trinity-by-the-Cove offers five liturgies in high season and two in summer months. In the winter months Trinity-by-the-Cove can experience over 650 people on a Sunday and in the summer about 220. How are your preparing yourselves for the Church of the future? Trinity-by-the-Cove has a mission statement and vision statement together with aspirations on how to reach our vision. Mission Statement : The Mission of Trinity-by-the-Cove Episcopal Church is to spread the Good News of the Gospel and provide a loving and compassionate environment for the continuing transformation of a life in Christ Jesus. We believe this journey is shaped by God through worship, learning, fellowship, and service to others Vision Statement : The vision of Trinity-by-the-Cove Episcopal Church for the next twenty years is to continue our excellence in worship and commitment to pastoral care and to work towards becoming a leader within the Episcopal Church in formation that develops strong and faithful Christians willing to assume responsibilities at all levels of society, spreading the Good News of the Gospel and offering care and compassion to people in need. humility, Love of God, willingness to learn, sense of joy

3 Trinity-by-the-Cove offers a variety of liturgies on Sunday ranging from Rite I Eucharist to Rite III contemporary liturgy. The most well attended liturgies are the Rite II Eucharists in the church. From fall through Easter, a concurrent Rite III liturgy is offered. There is also opportunity to explore additional offerings like Celtic Evening Prayer or Evening Prayer on the beach. How do you practice incorporating others in ministry? All parishioners are invited, encouraged and equipped to engage in ministry. Parishioners are invited to engage with our parish life coordinator to connect with the mission and ministry of the church. Clergy also play an important role in identifying parishioners and inviting them to participate according to their gifts and talents. Parishioners engage in ministries ranging from vestry and grants commission to making soup and baking Christmas cookies, chalice bearers and lectors to healing ministers and Eucharistic ministers. As a worshipping community, how do you care for your spiritual, emotional and physical well-being? Trinity-by-the-Cove is a diverse and vibrant community in its offerings. Strong clergy, staff and vestry leadership guides our parish in its programming and vision balancing in-reach and outreach and living into our mission statement. Good financial management insures that the physical plant is well cared for and basic needs of our facility met.

4 How do you engage in pastoral care for those beyond your worshipping community? Trinity-by-the-Cove offers a diverse array of pastoral care to our neighbors through a variety of grants to local, national and international charities. The church works to connect parishioners to volunteer opportunities and health clinics, food banks, and homeless shelters. Trinity-by-the-Cove is a leader in Collier County and the Diocese of Southwest Florida. Not only does Trinity-by-the-Cove offer grants to local, national, and international charities, parishioners engage in service projects and other special offerings to help and love our neighbors. Clergy are actively involved in the life of the Diocese and in the Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes. In any given year a variety of ministries begin ranging from Soup for the Soul (soup of sick parishioners and friends) to Anam Cara (an offering like Stephen Ministries) to music programs and concert offerings, fundraising initiatives or additional liturgies. 5 What is your practice of stewardship and how does it shape the life of your worshipping community? Trinity-by-the-Cove practices an annual pledge drive. Parishioners connect to the mission and ministry of the church by offering their time, talent and treasurer throughout the year. When conflict is experienced, church leaders pray, engage in conversation, and resolve conflict. What is your experience leading/addressing change in the church? When has it gone well? When has it gone poorly? And what did you learn? Change is ever present as ministries begin or end. Communication and thoughtful responses are all key to addressing change.
