Camp Phillip Brochures for Camp Phillip Summer 2018 are available in the brochure rack by the bulletin board. Programs include camps for grades K-8, teens, families, women, grandparents/grandchildren and Jesus Cares. More information can be found at Lutheran Girl Pioneer International Camp Lutheran Girl Pioneer International Camp will be July 29 Aug. 4. LGP Camp is located at Camp Bird outside Crivitz, WI with its own private lake. There are modern facilities and plenty of nature to explore. Please check the Lutheran Girl Pioneer website for information: LPS and Wisconsin Parental Choice Program Luther Prep participates in the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP). Seats remain open through April 20 for families to apply to the WPCP to cover the cost of tuition at Luther Prep. The purpose of Luther Prep is to encourage and prepare its students for the full-time gospel ministry. Historically 55% of LPS graduates continue their preparation after graduation. For more information on how WPCP may serve your family, please contact LPS President Matt Crass or Administrative Secretary Bonnie Kuerth at Share Trinity Worship Services With the Videotaped Church Services Watertown TV, Cable Channel 985 Wednesdays 9am and 4pm Sundays at 11am Divine Call Extended This past Wednesday the Trinity voters extended a divine call to Mrs. Rachel Helwig to serve as half-time preschool teacher at Trinity-St. Luke s Lutheran School. She is currently teaching at Crown of Life Lutheran School in Hubertus, Wisconsin. Her husband, Pastor Michael Helwig, recently accepted a call to serve as teacher at Lakeside Lutheran High School. Include her in your personal prayers. Church and School Spring Cleanup We are scheduling the cleanup for Saturday, April 14 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am (rain date: Saturday, April 21). There are several tasks to be completed: Clean out leaves and old growth (Troy Thede will haul this to yard waste disposal). Also remove weeds as needed. Mulch the west and southwest plots (Troy will pick up the mulch). We missed doing these last year. We will need to remove some soil from the Southwest plot to make room for the mulch. This excess soil will be used to fill low spots in the south meridian. Apply Preen to all beds to keep down the weeks (Troy will pick up Preen to be used). The equipment needed is the following: gloves, rakes, shovels, pruning shears and some wheelbarrows. 4 Women In Service Trinity Women In Service will meet on Thursday at 1:00 in the Conference Room of the Parish Center. Pastor Brauer will present the program. All women of the congregation are invited for cookies, coffee, and the program. Hostess will be Audrey Zautner. LPS Monster Concert On Sunday, April 8 at 7 pm, all students who study piano will be performing duets, trios, and two-piano pieces in the first-ever LPS Monster Concert. Students playing the same piece on six different pianos at one time will be conducted by Professor Fritz. The concert will be held in the Music Auditorium. Parents, relatives, friends and neighbors are invited and encouraged to attend. We are looking forward to a fun ensemble event! Forward in Christ The April issue of Forward in Christ is available to subscribers in the Fireside Room. A library copy is available on the bookshelf in the Fireside Room. Update on TSL and the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) Registration is now open and will continue to be open through April 20. Please go to dpi.wi.gov/choice to access the registration form as well as a variety of information to help you in completing the form or answering questions. Likewise, Mr. Moeller is always ready to help with the registration process or in answering your questions. We especially encourage the families of incoming 5K and grade 1 students to consider use of the program. Lost and Found There are a number of clothing items accumulating in the lost and found. If you think you may be missing something please check the lost and found items at the left end of the coat rack. WELS Youth Rally The 2018 WELS International Youth Rally will be held June 26-29, 2018, at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio. For students who are confirmed through senior year of high school. To learn more visit wels.net/2018youthrally. A sign-up sheet is in the Fireside Room. Sunday Snack Time Free-Will Offering Sunday morning free-will offerings during snack time are being designated to the Interior Decorating Committee. It has been many years since our Fireside Room was decorated and some of the current decorations are in need of replacement. If you would like to give a larger donation to this project, feel free to leave the donation in the free will basket or give to the church office. If you have any questions, contact Lyn Quinn, Sharon Zastrow or Sandy Braun. Sunday Morning Coffee Summer is right around the corner and we would like to continue serving our Sunday coffee during the summer months. If you would like to help serve on a non- Communion Sunday there will be a sign up sheet in the Fireside Room. You do not have to be on a committee to serve and greet our members and visitors. If a couple of families would like to work together and serve on a Sunday that would be great. Questions can be directed to Nancy Zastrow. Fireside Theater Brunch Who is ready for a Second Helping? That is Church Basement Ladies Second Helping. We have reserved seats on Sunday, June 24. The show will include Sunday Brunch. We will car pool leaving church at 10:00 am. Cost is $63.95 per person and includes the brunch, tip, tax and show. There is a sign-up sheet in the Fireside Room. Payment will need to be made by May 15 and payable to Trinity Church. We invite anyone to join us in this fun-filled day. "Stuff the Truck" "Stuff the Truck" with donations for Twice is Nice Resale Store at Lakeside Lutheran on the Saturday of Fine Arts Fest, April 14. Anyone who will be visiting campus for the grade school music festival -- or who could be in the area -- is encouraged to bring household donations, including furniture, to the big truck in the corner of the LLHS east parking lot from 9 am - 1 pm. Teens will unload your vehicle, pack the truck and get it all down to Jefferson that day. Donation receipts available. Thanks for your generosity as we help keep Twice Is Nice supplied with donations this time of year, and thanks to Thrivent Financial for helping provide the truck! Otherwise, donations can be brought to the door behind the store from 9-4:30 any day the store is open. Questions? Call & ask for the day manager. Items that cannot be accepted are TVs, computer monitors and printers, appliances, console pianos/stereos/sewing machines, mattresses/box springs, organs and paint.
