Our Helping Hands Food Pantry has been awarded a $2000 grant from the Hunger Subcommittee of the Committee on Mission and Outreach of the Presbytery of Coastal Carolina. These presbytery grants are made possible through congregational offerings such as 2 Cents Per Meal and P.A.T.H. (Presbyterian Answer to Hunger). There will be no Wednesday morning or evening Bible studies on July 26 and August 2. They will resume on August 9. Cheryl Brinkley, church secretary, will be on vacation July The beautiful flowers in the sanctuary today are in honor of Bill Walters' birthday today. They are given by his daughter and family. (When you request a name to be put on the prayer list, please notify the church office when you wish it to be taken off) The Helping Hands Food Pantry Needs Your Help Looking for a volunteer opportunity? We have just the thing for you! The Food Pantry team is looking for a few additional volunteers. Opportunities to help with this ongoing mission include the following: *Preparing grocery bags of canned foods to be distributed. *Picking up pizza from Pizza Hut on Tuesday afternoons between 3:00 and 4:00. Pack in ziplock bags for the freezer. Return containers to Pizza Hut. *Meeting the Food Lion delivery on Wednesday mornings between 9:30 and 10:30. Freeze meat. Sort veggies and fruit. *Distributing food on Thursday mornings from 9:00-12:00. Right now we each take one week monthly to be responsible for the above duties. But, if you would like to assist with one of the tasks, that help would be greatly appreciated also. Contact one of the committee members if interested or leave a message with Cheryl Brinkley.
