Psalm 118:17 * PROCLAIM THE RISEN CHRIST On Easter morning everything the spring weather, the flowers, birds and butterflies, the people around us in their finery, the beautiful liturgy and music everything seems to bear witness that Jesus Christ is risen today! Like the eyewitness accounts in today s scriptures, the glorious and joyful life all around us helps us to believe the good news of the Resurrection and sing Alleluia! In the scriptures today we hear from Peter and Paul and John. All three speak with conviction about witnessing the resurrected Christ. John s Gospel account includes Mary of Magdala, who also was privileged to witness the Resurrection and tell others the good news. Message from our Pastor My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christs, The Opening prayer or the Collect for the mass for Easter Day clearly sums up the Church s principal belief and the Easter message of hope. It states: Oh God who on this day through your Only Begotten Son, have conquered death and unlocked for us the path to eternity, grant, we pray that we who keep the solemnity of the Lord s Resurrection may, through the renewal brought by you Spirit rise up in the light of life.. On behalf of Fr. Cesar, Fr. Bill, Fr. Randy and myself we wish you, your family and loved ones a truly blessed Easter Day and hope of renewal in the Spirit that we all my rise together in the light of Christ s glorious resurrection.
