Because he has given us of the Spirit, we are no longer dead because of sin, but alive. In Jesus is the fullness of redemption. "So they took away the stone." - John 11:41 Perhaps one of Our Lord's greatest miracles was the raising of Lazarus. Yet, we see that even in this great miracle Jesus calls others to act. He tells the crowd to roll away the stone from the tomb. And they protest, saying it will stink. How often do we think that something God is asking us to do might "stink" whether it is giving more of our time, our talent or our treasure? Yet if we are willing to follow Our Lord's command and take away the stones that block us from participating in God's work, we can expect great miracles in our lives. Every Tuesday, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the church from 3 to 4 p.m. It is an hour of prayer for the priests, religious men and women and an increase of vocations to the priesthood and the religious life of the Church. We invite you to come and spend time with the Lord for these intentions and for your personal requests. Holy Hour closes with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Hay muchas maneras y formas y de oración: La Oración Oración de petición: La forma más inferior de oración, no está mal, pero tenemos que tener cuidado que nuestra oración no sólo sea una lista de cosas para que el Señor nos las de. Oración de intercession: Consiste en pedir por alguna persona que no es uno mismo. Pedir a Dios algo para alguien, o pedir para alguna cosa más general. Oración de arrepentimiento: Pedir perdón por nuestros pecados. Pedir perdón cuando le fallamos a Dios. Oración de reparación: Pedir perdón por los pecados de otros. Hay personas que no se arrepienten y podemos orar a Dios por esas personas. Oración de agradecimiento: El significado de esta forma de oración es claro. Pero cuántas veces oramos agradeciendo a Dios por todo lo que nos da? Oración de entrega: Es una oración de confianza en Dios. Como no confiar en El que es nuestro Padre y que desea lo mejor para nuestro bien? Oración de alabanza: Decirle a Dios lo grande que es, lo bueno que es, las maravillas que ha hecho y hace en nuestras vidas. Oración de adoración: La forma más elevada de oración. Adorar a Dios es reconocerlo como nuestro Creador y nuestro Dueño. Dependemos de El y nos entregamos a El nos entregamos a su Voluntad. En la Cuaresma debemos aumentar nuestra oración, es un regalo que Dios nos ha dado. Es un privilegio que tenemos de poder dirigirnos a nuestro Creador y que El nos escuche. Questions and Answers on the Mass Changes April 10, Part 6 of 7 On November 27, 2011, the English speaking Church in the USA will begin using a new translation of the prayers used at Mass (The Roman Missal). A series of Questions and Answers on this topic will be posted here to help explain the thinking behind these changes. Please check back weekly. 7. What will the new Missal mean in my parish? In the months before the revised translation is implemented, parishes will have to do many things. The parish will have to replace liturgical books and participation aids. Priests will practice proclaiming the new texts and will prepare homilies helping the faithful to understand the new translation and to deepen their appreciation for the Liturgy. The music ministers and the people will learn new musical settings for the parts of the Mass (such as the Gloria and the Sanctus). Catechists and teachers will help parishioners learn the new prayers. Parishes may also use this opportunity to undertake a thorough reexamination of their liturgical practices. 8. If my parish likes the old translation better, can we continue using that one? Now that the Holy See has granted the recognitio to the revised translation, the USCCB has established a date for first use and a date for mandatory use. No parish may continue to use the current translation after the mandatory use date. Parishes will need to use the period before the mandatory use date to help parishioners renew their love for the Sacred Liturgy, to understand the changes, and to develop an appreciation for the revised translation. 5

During the Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday), there will be a 9 A.M. Prayer Service each morning. Evangelization Corner Reflecting On The Gospel - In today s Gospel, Jesus brings a dead man back to life; Jesus orders the stone of Lazarus tomb to be taken away, prays to the Father, and then calls out, Lazarus, come out! We can t imagine how Lazarus must have felt and how he behaved after being brought back to life. It s a miracle that baffles our mind. Yet, wonderful as the raising of Lazarus was, it is nothing compared to Jesus Resurrection. Lazarus came back to a life that still had hardship and pain and, eventually, Lazarus dies again. Jesus rose to a glorious, new and everlasting life completely free of suffering. We, too, will be raised to a glorious, new and everlasting life free from suffering. This is our faith. We profess this belief every time we pray the Creed. We proclaim that we believe in the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Sharing Ideas - How can our faith in Jesus and His promises give us peace whenever we are sad about friends or relatives who have died? 7
