2 NICENE CREED I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, (All bow while saying:) and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen. 2 THE LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST Collegeville Hymnal 376 O Lord, I Am Not Worthy NON DIGNUS (CLARIBEL) OFFERTORY HYMN (5:00) OFFERTORY MOTETS 9:00 Prayer of St. Francis G. Si ambulavero Si ambulavero in medio tribulationis, vivificabis me, Domine: et super iram inimicorum meorum extendes manum tuam, et salvum me fecit dextera tua. If I walk in the midst of tribulation you shall preserve my life, O Lord; you shall stretch forth your hand against the fury of my enemies; your right hand has delivered me. Ps 138:7 INVITATION TO PRAYER Celebrant: Pray, brethren, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father. : May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church. 6 HERE AT HOLY FAMILY PLEASE NOTE: PHONE CHANGES Thanks to a generous benefactor s gift, we are finalizing a complete upgrade of our parish, rectory, and school s phone system. The previous phone system, which was over 15 years old, has now been replaced with new digital phones. While the main office numbers remain the same, staff members phone numbers are now direct-dial (please see the bulletin parish directory for changes on p. 4); if someone does call the office looking for a specific staff member, he or she will be given the option to search by name or extension number to connect directly to the staff member s line. In addition to phone improvements, we have: increased the speed of our Internet connection by adding fiber optics, upgraded all computers, relocated our school lab, and greatly improved our audio/visual capabilities in each classroom. We re excited about these improvements, which should increase productivity and efficiency for everyone. REMEMBER: YOU HAVE FORMED.ORG ACCESS! 7 Holy Family Discipleship Fair After Sunday Masses - Father Moorman Hall Have you ever stopped to ponder all the gifts you ve been given by God? Stewardship is an awareness of the fact that all we have and are is attributable to God, who created us. This awareness compels one to thankfulness and action. It is said that faithful Stewardship begins with one s time: That is, time spent in prayer discerning God s will in our lives. Time in prayer manifests itself in responding willingly and with zeal to each s own baptismal call to engage in the work of the Church as a Disciple of Christ. Let your prayer be a simple one: Thank you, Lord, for all that you have given me. Help me never to take for granted the gifts You have so generously bestowed. I pray that I may be as generous with my gifts and docile to Your will in my life. Jesus Christ intends that each one of His disciples take part in the great mission of the Church. Our parish already has almost fifty groups and activities which bring God's Love to our parish and wider community. Representatives of these groups will be downstairs in Father Moorman Hall after all weekend Masses to help you discern a good fit for your talents and available time. Let the Holy Spirit direct you to see how the world can be a better place because God sent you!
