2 Reflection We are so glad that you have joined us for worship this morning and we want you to know that you are always welcome. Regardless of who you are, where you come from, what you do professionally or in your spare time, there is always a place for you here at Greystone. GETTING CONNECTED AT GBC You can give us a record of your visit by filling out the blue Friendship Pads as they are passed down the pews during the service. This will give us a chance to connect with you and help you learn more about Greystone. You can also ask one of the Ministers or Ushers who will direct you to information about our church. We also invite you to visit our website where you ll learn more about Greystone. Worship Care is available in our preschool area for babies to fiveyearolds during both the 8:45 and 11:00 services. If you would like your children to participate in Worship Care, please stop by the checkin desk to register and drop off your children. We also have activity bags available for children of all ages. They are located in the basket near the entrance to the Sanctuary. We hope you find Greystone to be a vibrant, diverse community of faith. Our members come from a widerange of spiritual backgrounds and life experiences. All of them care deeply for each other and the world around them. At Greystone, we believe Every Member is a Minister. Updated Prayer Requests Greystone is a community of friends who believe in the power of prayer. We hope that you will provide updates to the concerns you have previously shared with us and continue to inform us of ways that we can prayerfully support you and those close to you. We are hoping to create a living document and will be working to keep this list vital and current by updating it every month. Any request that you submit will remain on the prayer list for a month. After a month we hope that you will offer an update and advise if this is still an ongoing need. We are humbled and grateful for the ability to come alongside you in your distress and in your joy to offer prayers to our loving, creative and merciful God.

11 Wednesday Nights in March On March 13, we will begin our Lenten study of Brene Brown s Braving the Wilderness. Books can be purchased for $10.00 in the church office. Pick up a schedule of discussion groups, a copy of the book and join us on this wilderness journey. See Amanda Atkin for more information. Upcoming Wednesday Night Menus 3/6 BarBQ, fried chicken, slaw, boiled potatoes, hushpuppies, roll; 3/13 Lemon Chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll, 3/20 Spaghetti with meat sauce garden salad, bread. Pancake Tuesday The Tuesday before Ash Wednesday is known as Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Tuesday. It is a tradition going back to medieval times of getting one s pantry ready for the Lenten fast by using up all of the fattening ingredients. Those ingredients happen to combine together to make pancakes. Join us at IHOP (7471 Six Forks Road) this Tuesday, March 5 at 5:30 PM. We will gather as friends to eat pancakes and honor the day and the tradition. If you would let the office know that you are planning to come, then we will be sure to save a seat for you. Ash Wednesday March 6 Dinner will be served in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 5:30 PM. Join us for the Ash Wednesday Service in the sanctuary at 6:30 PM. All ages are welcome to join us for this special service to begin the season of Lent. Childcare will be provided for babies through kindergarten. Time Change Daylight Saving begins Sunday, March 10. The time will spring forward 1 hour at 2:00 AM, Sunday, March 10. Remember to change your clocks before you go to sleep Saturday night, March 9. Youth to Carolina Hurricanes Game All are invited to join in the youth group trip to see the Carolina Hurricanes game at 1:30 PM on Saturday, March 30. Tickets are $20.00 each and you can sign up with the church office. Summer Music & Arts Camp JUNE 17 21, 9:00 AM 3:00 PM Final Presentation Fri., June 6:00 PM Registration now open! Inclement Weather In the event of inclement weather, go to WRAL, WTVD or the church website for cancellations and/or closings. Lumberton Rebuild In February we sent a group of church members to continue our work with the residents in and around Lumberton as they seek to recover from recent flooding. If you would like to help in this effort, please contact Jerry Chiles. All skill levels are welcome! Upcoming dates are April Volunteers can go for a day or stay overnight.
