6 Next Sunday, March 15, there will be a called Congregational Business Meeting during the Sunday School hour beginning at 9:30am. The agenda includes the following items: 1. Approval of Cinda Showalter as Moderator 2. Affirmation of the Leadership Team's recommendation to move to one worship service On Wednesday, March 4, the Leadership Team accepted and affirmed the Worship Service Task Team's recommendation to move to one service effective Easter Sunday. Quarterly Conversations will be held to monitor the implementation of the new worship schedule and plan. Worship Schedule: Worship - 9:30-10:30am Transition/Fellowship Time - 10:30-11:00am Sunday School - 11:00-12:00 * the congregation is encouraged to share ideas and suggestions during Listening Time and at the Quarterly Conversations * additional members will be added to the Worship Ministry Team and task groups will be formed for specific areas of worship, such as drama, visual worship aids, music coordination and youth/adult participation. * the congregation is encouraged to take an active role in worship participation and join in the process of creativity. Attention Senior High Youth! Roundtable 2015 will be held at Bridgewater College on March The weekend will be filled with worship, workshops, small groups, vespers, and so much more! Registration is now open. Let Adam or Louise know if you plan to attend. On March 21 at 2:00pm, WCoB will a Shepherd s Spring information meeting. The Senior High Youth are sponsoring a Palm Sunday Cinnamon Roll Sale on March 29. Containers with a half-dozen fresh, homemade cinnamon rolls will be available for pick up for $7.50 each. Pre-orders (only) will be taken through March 27 (sign up on the sheet in the library). These cinnamon rolls will make a great Spring Break Breakfast/Holy Week Treat! Mark your calendar for these Holy Week Services: Love Feast - April 2 at 7:00pm (WCoB) Cross Walk - April 3 at 11:00am (beings at Grace Lutheran) Noon Service will be at St. John s Catholic Church Join the Youth for Easter Morning Breakfast - April 5 at 8:30am. On the menu will be various egg casseroles (one made with egg substitute), pastries/muffins, yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee. A free will offering will be collected to support the Senior High Youth Workcamp trip in July. People are needed to enter information about our library books into the card catalog software. If you can give an hour or so a week to this task, please contact Jeanne Dussault. She will show you how to make the entries. This is a simple task but one that requires time and many hands to complete. Cooks for Loaves and Fishes are needed for 6/20, and 9/5. If you know of a church or an organization who would like to be involved in this outreach, please let Lisa Blevins know as soon as possible. Thanks so much. We are receiving donations to support the Mid-Atlantic District Meat Canning Project on April 6-9 at the Christian Aid Ministries in Ephrata, PA. Approximately 45,000 pounds of chicken will be canned in 4 days. Please make your check payable to Westminster Church of the Brethren and make a note that it is for meat canning. Our own Loves and Fishes ministry uses some of the canned chicken. As a part of our Celebration of Women events in May, we ll be putting together 20 Safe Motherhood Kits for IMA World Health. Needed are the following donations to put these kits together: knitted or crocheted baby hats, flannel blankets (handmade, 30-inches x 30-inches), handmade cotton or flannel tunics, bars of Ivory soap and adult washcloths. Please see Nancy McCrickard if you re interested in being involved in these preparations - she has the patterns for each of the handmade items. They make great projects on these cold winter days! Mark your calendars: The 2015 Carroll County CROP Walk will be April 19 at 2:00pm. On June 13, the Senior High Youth will be having a Yard Sale Fundraiser. As you re doing your spring cleaning, please be sure to save items that can be donated to the Yard Sale. Items can be brought to the Church at any time (we have a room dedicated to their storage until the sale) - if you need us to, we ll even come pick up your donated items. Your support is greatly appreciated! Attention all Campers: I am reserving spaces now at Spring Gulch for the week of September or September Cost is $14 per night. Weekends are approximately $30. I need to know no later than Tuesday, March 17 if you are going to be joining us. There are other camp grounds available in the Lancaster area in April, May, & June for $14 per night.
