Congratulations to Fr. Kayatta on the 38th Anniversary of his Ordination to the Priesthood! (June 27th). May God bless you with many more happy and healthy years as you continue to serve Him. 3 J 24, 2018 T N S. J B BAZAAR AT THE SEA HOW BAZAAR IS THIS??? BAZAAR, BAZAAR, BA- ZAAR! Our annual bazaar this year will be held on July 21st. Our hope is to reach out to all our year round, as well as seasonal parishioners. We are looking for additional crafters to take part in the day. If you or anyone you know are interested in a table, please call the office.. We are also in need of volunteers in the following areas: Advertising-posters and signs Set up and Take Down Raffle Basket Assembly Ticket Sales and Bake Room Second-Time Around Room Gift Basket Items Needed! We are in need of items for the Penny Social Raffle for this year s bazaar. Items include, but are not limited to: gift cards to local merchants and restaurants, tools, toys, and household necessities. BACCALAUREATE MASS Please join us on Sunday, June 24th at 10:30am for the Baccalaureate Mass as we pray for all those graduating from high school and college this year. All graduates will receive a special blessing. ON DEMAND ACCESS THE CATHOLIC FAITH Shh! (we won t tell) We can turn those unwanted, UNOPENED items you received for Christmas, Easter, Mother s Day Father s Day, birthdays etc. into lovely gift baskets for our penny social raffle!! The Twenty Week Club Raffle For only $3 per week ($60 total) you have the chance to win at twenty separate weekly drawings of $60 each. (multiple tickets at $50 each!!!) Weekly drawings will begin the week of July 2nd and end the week of November 13th. The Grand Prize Drawing will be held on November 17th at a Wine and Cheese Gathering in the Parish Hall at 5pm. Grand Prize Drawings will be for $1,000, $500, $250, & $100. Application forms may be found in the bulletin or at the back of the church. You need not be present to win at any drawing. Member names with corresponding ticket numbers will be posted in the parish bulletin weekly. Checks will be mailed to your address on file. Don t miss out!! 4 FAITH FORMATION AND EVANGELIZATION BAPTISM Baptisms are normally scheduled on Sundays following the 10:30AM Mass. Please contact the parish at Baptism class is required for new parents. Godparents must provide proof that they are fully initiated, practicing Catholics aged 16 or older. FIRST EUCHARIST AND CONFIRMATION Please call the Office of Faith Formation and Evangelization for information at to register or to inquire about sacramental preparation. RECONCILIATION First Saturday of each month from 1:30 3:30 PM in the confessional and by appointment. Please call the office at Monday Friday 9am 4pm to schedule an appointment MATRIMONY Congratulations on your engagement! If you are a parishioner or a fully initiated catholic with parents who live in the parish, please call the office at at least six months prior to the desired wedding date. SACRAMENT OF THE SICK Please call the parish office at before you go to the hospital. We will celebrate the Anointing of the Sick with you. Masses of Anointing are scheduled twice a year. HIPPA laws prohibit hospitals and caregivers from giving out personal information. If you or someone you know currently need this sacrament, please be sure to call and let us know. Please call anytime in case of serious illness. OFFERTORY PROCESSION We extend an invitation to all parishioners to participate in the offertory procession. If the Mass is for your deceased love one, please let the sacristan or celebrant know that you would like to bring up the gifts. If possible, please call the office beforehand to let us know that you would like to bring up the offertory. SPONSORS AND GODPARENTS The catechism states that the godfather, godmother or sponsor must be firm a believer (No. 1255). The true intent is that the godparent or sponsor be an active, practicing Catholic, who treasures the Catholic faith, provides good example and would joyfully and eagerly be a partner with the parents in raising the child in the faith. The godparent s faith need not be perfect or mature, but it must be valid and active. He/she is fully initiated, attends Mass regularly, and if married, is validly married in the church.
