3 The Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time Fall 2018 Adult Faith Formation LECTIO PETER: Unveiling Scripture & Tradition Our Lady of Good Counsel Church s Adult Faith Formation Program will begin on September 30, 2018 and continues on Sunday evenings through December 9 th 6:00pm to 8:30pm (with Thanksgiving break) in the Church Hall. SATURDAY OCTOBER 6, 9:00 AM People all over the world will be celebrating the feast day of the Patron Saint of Animals, Saint Francis of Assisi. It is customary that in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi's love for all creatures; animals are led to churches for a special ceremony called the Blessing of the Animals. We meet at the Church side door (rectory side). Please leash all dogs or put in crates, cats or smaller critters. Please clean up any critter mistakes if someone gets too excited. The Villa Victoria Honeybees will be providing music for the 5pm Mass and a meeting will follow in the church basement with food, fun, and fellowship. All teens in grades 8 th -12 th are invited and encouraged to bring a friend. We will also be discussing our calendar and upcoming service opportunities.
