Diocesan guidelines do not permit us to set a definite date for the marriage until the pre-nuptial questionnaire has been completed and arrangements have been made for participation in the marriage program. Scott Traynor, author of The Parish as a School of Prayer and priest of the Diocese of Sioux Falls. He will inspire and help us to grow in our love and encounter with our Lord in the Eucharist. We ll begin with Mass & dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening, and end a 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cost is $70, with an Early Bird rate of $55 if you register by January 1. This fee includes the conference, dinner Friday, and lunch on Saturday. If you would like to stay at Terra Sancta overnight, there are lodging options available at a reduced rate as well. The optional breakfast on Saturday is also available for an additional small fee. December 30, 2018 Feast of the Holy Family Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia: Beyond Terminal Illness Advocates for physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia often claim these practices will only affect a narrow class of terminally ill patients who are expected to die soon in any case. But there is ample evidence of a slippery slope toward ending the lives of patients with chronic illnesses or disabilities, or even those who are vulnerable or marginalized in other ways. Swiss Group Will Euthanize Those Who Feel Old - In Switzerland, the association Exit (which has 70,000 members and is one of the biggest euthanasia organizations in the world) has voted to include suicide because of old age on its statute. Swiss law allows organizations that provide euthanasia services to establish their own internal rules, which may vary from clinic to clinic. The decision of Exit s board has been criticized by the Swiss medical association, which fears that such a move could encourage suicide among the elderly.
