4 Page 4 October 7, 2018 Ramblings from Father Michael Grace and peace to you all. I hope and pray that my words are finding everyone healthy and well. Reflecting on that blessing, how often we take our health for granted. It s often only when we fall into poor health that we truly value the blessing of what we have lost. Good health is such a gift from God. It is so important to appreciate it and to give thanks every day! I heard some wonderful news recently! My father informed me that he is planning another trip to Siesta Key! My brother and my niece will accompany him here on November 1. He plans to stay until November 28 when another of my brothers will come to accompany him home. We re so grateful to God for his good health and positive spirit at the age of 90! My father is one of those people who always sees the cup half-full! I guess that s the spirit that enables him to plan a trip like this. Thank you God! We have been in almost constant contact with Gallagher/Bassett, our insurance company in an effort to have them give us some rebuild figures and details. As of this morning, I had a promise that I would receive said information by the end of today (Tuesday). Hopefully, by the time you read this, I will already have shared this information with you at Church. Wishing everyone a blessed and healthy week! Fr. Michael RESPECT LIFE Friday, November 2nd is the date that our parishioners from St. Michael the Archangel will be participating in the walk at Planned Parenthood from 9am 3pm. We are looking for volunteers to participate in the walk and volunteers to be drivers to and from the walk. This will enable those who don t have transportation an opportunity to attend. 6 Page 6 October 7, 2018 WOMEN S GUILD NEWS The Women s Guild has a monthly Mass and Lunch on the 2nd Monday of each month, October through April. All ladies of the parish are invited to join this group who, as well as having social events, also supports the parish and local charities with their fundraising events. To join call Pauline at Annual Membership Fee: $15.00 WELCOME BACK! St. Michael s Womens Guild first meeting of the new season will be held on OCTOBER 15th at St. Boniface s Parish Center. Parking and entrance are located at the back of their property. Mass will be at St. Michael s at 11am followed by our luncheon. Cost is $15 per person.
