Why Christian? Why Catholic? The presentation combines both Christian and Catholic apologetics with evidence from science, philosophy, and archeology Please join the Keokuk Deanery for this engaging presentation by Anthony Digmann Anthony Digmann is a fantastic and powerful speaker who engages audiences of all ages All ages are welcome CHRISTMAS BAZAAR This year s Christmas Bazaar is scheduled for Sunday, November 4th, at McAleer Hall The day starts at 9:00 am You can browse and purchase in the Gift Room or from the homemade goodies that will be available Beginning at 10:30 am, lunch of roast beef sandwiches, soups, dessert and beverage, will be served until 1:30 pm Take-outs will be available Children s activities will begin at noon, with the arrival of Santa The raffle, with a Grand Prize of $250, 2nd - 4th places of $100 each; and 5th and 6th places of $50 each, will be drawn at 1:00 pm Feather Bingo will be from 1:30-3:00 pm with the winner of each game receiving a turkey A tie will result in each person receiving a chicken Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 a ticket or three for $10 Raffle tickets can be picked up from any of the Altar & Rosary Officers or at the parish office BIRD SALE No, we don t have birds for sale We are asking for donations of turkeys and chickens for the Feather Bingo Please watch for local sales and pick up a bird or two for donating FLOCKNOTE There has been a little confusion lately on how Flocknote works To clarify, when a parishioner signs up for Flocknote, you are subscribing to Holy Family Parish s account The Everybody Flocknote is used for parish-wide sponsored activities and events After signing up for the parish s account, you can go into Groups and subscribe to receive notes from specific groups such as: Daily Mass Attendees, Altar and Rosary Society, Knights of Columbus, etc These notes will let you know of upcoming events, meetings, or changes specific to the group If you no longer want to receive notes from a group, you can go back into your groups list and unsubscribe to that group or text STOP and you will be removed from that group, but will still receive general notes and notes from other groups you ve chosen If you text STOP to a general note, you are asking to be removed totally from Holy Family Parish s account, and will no longer receive Flocknotes from any group We encourage everyone to sign up for Flocknote because it is the best way to keep everyone up-todate on any last minute changes that may occur To sign up for Flocknote, you can either stop in the parish office and Danelle can help you, or go to Flocknotescom/fmcatholic and sign-up LIVING ROSARY Parishioners gathered last Saturday at McAleer Hall to pray a living rosary for the conversion of our country, the world, and the Church There were about 1,000 cities and towns across the US also praying, along with approximately 40 countries Claire (cello) and Lucy Graham (violin) provided beautiful music accompaniment Please keep these intentions in your prayers
