Do you know someone who has expressed an interest in learning about the Faith? Are you getting married to a Catholic or are your children being raised as Catholic? Holy Family Parish is now forming classes to begin in September for adults interested in the Catholic Faith RCIA begins with an overview of the basic beliefs of our faith and then a more detailed study of the sacramental life and doctrines of the Faith If you are interested in more information or to sign up for the classes, please contact Sr Peggy at 372-2127 RCIA is open to everyone, those just questioning what the Church teaches, those who want to join the Church, and those who were raised Catholic, but have forgotten what being Catholic is all about NEW YOUTH COORDINATOR My name is Alicia Lundstrom and Jesus has sent me here to be the Youth Coordinator! Saint John Paul II has been a powerful influence in my life, and inspired me to go into Youth Ministry In college at St John Paul II Catholic Newman Center, I began to open wide the doors for Christ and encountered Jesus for the first time in Eucharistic Adoration It was then that I realized that the same Jesus that walked on water, and raised people from the dead over 2000 years ago, was the same Jesus in every tabernacle in every Catholic Church! At that Newman Center we were very Eucharistic-centered and devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary, many of us doing the 33 day prayers of St Louis de Montefort Each of us would sign up for a Holy Hour, spending one-onone time with Jesus and service projects This would keep our faith enkindled and united as friends seeking the good of each other as members of the body of Christ We had so much fun, doing camping trips, movie and game nights, and it is my hope to bring this to the youth here so we can build each other up to become the great Saints that God is calling each of us to be! You belong to God, children, and you have conquered them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4) MINISTRY SCHEDULES Ministry schedules for October, November, and December will be out soon Please call the parish office, 372-2127, by Monday, September 10th, with any dates/times you will be unavailable to serve during these upcoming months OFFICE CLOSED The parish office will be closed, Friday, August 31st, and Monday, September 3rd Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 4th @ 8:30 am Office staff have begun to gather together in the mornings to have a few minutes to pray together Therefore, the office will be closed at 9:00 am for about 15 minutes Please be assured that our faith family and parish are in our prayers
