Visit our website: www.sp-apostle.org Like us on Facebook St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Community I want to inform you that the Paulist Fathers have asked me to serve as the Associate Pastor at Newman Hall Holy Spirit Parish in Berkeley, California starting sometime this summer. As you know, I am a graduate of Cal, and it was at Newman Hall that I discovered the richness of the Catholic faith and my own vocation for the priesthood. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the Paulist Fathers thought I would be a good candidate to serve the university parish community in Berkeley. I have appreciated and am truly grateful for my time at St. Paul the Apostle. Everyone knows that a priest keeps a soft spot in his heart for his first assignment, and I am definitely no different. You have been a tremendous part of my priestly journey, helping me to be the priest and person that I am today. I have loved serving you the past three years and will always be thankful for welcoming me into this wonderful community as a newly ordained baby priest. I am certain that we will be seeing one another in the years to come; and if you are ever near or in Berkeley, know that you are always welcome at Newman Hall Holy Spirit Parish. As you are always in my prayers, please pray for the Paulist Fathers, for me, and especially for the parishioners at Newman Hall. In Christ s Love, (Rev.) Dat Tran, CSP P.S. I look forward to continuing my ministry and serving you until I leave for my new assignment this summer. Young Married During Lent we are encouraged to give something up, but doing something to better ourselves or our community is also a great focus. This Lenten season, we are inviting anyone in their early years of marriage to commit to a session or all four sessions on Thursday nights during Lent in the Multi Purpose Room - March 20 - April 10th. We will start with 5:30 Mass and do a follow up discussion on bringing the gospel into our marriages. You can come with your partner or on your own. If you have any questions, please email Bridget at blander@sp-apostle.org.
