Father O'Neill Council Volume 10 Number 10 July / August 2016 A Word from our Grand Knight... Worthy Brothers and Ladies, I am very humbled and honored to have been elected as Grand Knight of the Fr.

Supreme Knight, Carl Anderson, has asked that we as Knights forge stronger ties with our Parishes and not duplicate those activities that should be parochial.

We will hold several Youth events throughout the year to make up for not having a Squires program.

Worthy Brothers and Ladies, I am very humbled and honored to have been elected as Grand Knight of the Fr. O'Neill Council. I look forward to a year of great things for our Council, our community, our families, and our Church. We will get the new Fraternal Year rolling with a couple of new initiatives. Supreme Knight, Carl Anderson, has asked that we as Knights forge stronger ties with our Parishes and not duplicate those activities that should be parochial. To that end, we suspended our Squires program last year, the monies that were in the Squires' account were donated to Fr. O'Neill Charities. We will hold several Youth events throughout the year to make up for not having a Squires program. Please reach out to me if you would like to help make these events successful and enjoyable for the youth of our Council and of the Parishes we serve. This year we will also revive the Parish Round Table program with our Worthy Chancellor, Bob Woolley, leading the effort to organizing the Round Table members. Recruitment and membership are always emphasized by Supreme and the Maryland State Council. To help encourage prospects to join us and be active, we will be having new member socials on the third Friday of August, November, March, and May. These months will also have an on the Wednesday. I encourage all of my brother Knights to participate in, and if available, help make successful, these new outreach events.î Vivat Jesu!
