2 PAGE 2 VOLUME 16, ISSUE 3 Grand Knight s Letter Brother Knights, On Tuesday February 16, eight Knights prayed the Rosary during the hour of 10:00a.m. 11:00a.m. at the EMC center on Market Street. Each Tuesday during Lent at this same time, this Council will support the Pro-Life effort thru prayer and being present in person to show the community our stance against abortion. Please join us each Tuesday during Lent. Transportation can be arranged and it will be an experience you will long remember. As of this writing, thirty five Brother Knights have not paid their dues for the calendar year of Please send you check today if you have not paid to Mike Lally or pay online. The prompt payment of dues is critical and very important to this Council for so many reasons. Thank you for keeping your dues up to date. Want to make a monetary contribution to your Council without leaving your most comfortable chair or your home? Ever bought anything from Amazon? Would you like to show your wife your computer skills? Well you can do all these things starting today. Here is how. Go to the Bishop Flaget website at and click on the our Amazon link on the right side of the landing page. The click will take you directly to the Amazon website and just start ordering stuff! By using the Council site to get to Amazon, Amazon will pay this Council a commission on every purchase. There is no increase cost to purchase items or delay in shipping. Everything is just the same and if you had gone directly to the Amazon site except we would not get a commission. Now some further really good news- every one of your friends or relatives no matter where they live can use it!! Tell at least twenty five friends or relatives and this Council will have a monthly inflow of income. Sounds easy because it is easy and you have not even finished your first cup of coffee. Dwight Frank and I are working on the scheduling and content of a Fraternal Benefits Night. The event will take place in the next sixty-ninety days and we could use your help. If you know of a Funeral Director, Financial Planner, ElderCare attorney, or After Care specialist you could recommend, please send me an . Please remember to register for the Catholic Men s Conference to be held on March 5 and also thank you for all the volunteer hours you put in making this Council one of the most active in the State. You are needed, appreciated and important. The Lenten season is upon us with all the hope of our Lord s Resurrection. May we all be prayerful and have very personal experiences with our Lord during this time. Please call or pray for a friend or a family member today. After all, life is so very precious. I hope you and your family had a great finish to Now, the first quarter of 2016 is flying by. Hopefully, you ve established a few goals for this year. I ve learned a great tip regarding resolutions. First, write them down. It s not too late if you haven t already done this. Commit your goals to paper and post it someplace you will see it often. Writing down a goal is the first step towards achieving it. It may not make sense at first, but I m sure you have heard stories of the success this simple task can bring. Whether your goal is to exercise more, give more to charity, read more or watch less television, you re more likely to accomplish it if you write it down. Second, resolve to have an expert look at your finances. I recommend that you have a team of experts help you, and I would love to be the first you sit with. Let s schedule some time to meet together, and I, your professional Knights of Columbus insurance agent, will provide an insurance check-up (at no cost!) that will evaluate any gaps in your family s life insurance and financial protection. Now might be the perfect time to fill those gaps, not later. Keep in mind that unlike many other products, you don t just need money to obtain life insurance; you also need good health, and no one knows when your health could change.
