I have seen the decline in attendance. Cavallaro Council would be appreciative if you can devote two (2) or three (3) hours a month.

I am looking for more team work and hope you can attend our next general meeting February 13, 2018 at 7:30 pm.

Nuccio GRAND KNIGHT S MESSAGE Brother Knights January was a bad beginning of the New Year with the snow blast that our general meeting had to be rescheduled. The general meeting took place Thursday, January 18 th The board is working and focusing on many new possibilities for the new coming year. I have seen the decline in attendance. Cavallaro Council would be appreciative if you can devote two (2) or three (3) hours a month. It would be rewarding to join me in this effort. The council seems to be road blocked trying to get Brother Knights back in the council community. I am looking for more team work and hope you can attend our next general meeting February 13, 2018 at 7:30 pm. For many of Cavallaro Brother Knights I am pleased to share with you all that one of our own, Treasurer S.K. Jerry Mandaro will be Saint Athanasius Holy Name Carnival Honoree. The celebration will be Saturday February 10 th 2018 at the Saint Athanasius Hall. If interested attending please contact Jerry Mandaro to reserve your ticket or tickets. It would be an honor to get many brothers to attend for all Jerry s great work with Saint Athanasius Church in addition to his service to our council. Continued on page 4

This year the honoree will be Mr. Salvatore Iacullo. His dedication to our Faith, Country and Community is beyond excellence. Mr. Iacullo has exemplified throughout his life the 4 main principles of our Order: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. Please join us as this is a wonderful honor to receive. Cavallaro Council extends its condolences to Brother Michael Imbasciani on the passing of his brother John. The Council also extends its condolence to passed Columbiette president Madam Kay Calabrese on the passing of her husband Richard. You belong to the largest Catholic- Fraternal organization in the world. Almost 2 million strong and those 2 million voices are loud and strong when it comes to protecting religious rights worldwide. Our dues average to 77 cents a week. That's 1/2 the cost of a cup of coffee. If you have internet access, you can pay your dues through our secure website via PayPal (fee applies). 7 Kings County Corner Fraternally, Jim LaSalle, PGK Pro Life Mass: Was held on Sunday January 21 st at St. Athanasius Church. After Mass a re-dedication prayer ceremony was conducted outside the church in front of the stone for the un-born. A light collation was provided for those attending at the Council. Thanks to those who attended and supported this worthy cause; thanks for those who brought their spouses or friends to share our support. As you may notice I am not using any names; the reason being that there weren t enough names to list. Why you may feel that this Special Mass is not important enough to make an extra effort to attend is beyond me. The K of C has been the front runner for Right to Life and visual support is always needed. The Mass was scheduled at a very convenient time of day, the day was just beautiful as far as the weather conditions, the Mass was lovely; but you were MISSING!
