Mr. Troutman was born in Winston Salem, later moving to Charlotte w'here he attended public schools. Hie is a gradqate of Wake Forest University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and the School of Pastoral Care at Bowman Gray School of!medicine. Committee members are Lewis W. Sykes, chairman, Donald G, Hoover and Thomas Wilson. 5 Pastor Quits At Carmel Rev. Coit R. Troutman, pastor of Carmel Baptist Church, has announced hi resignation at a called meeting of the church deacons. In a letter sent to church members this week, William M. Porter Jr., chairman of the, board of deacons, said that after some discussion "the deacons voted to accept the resignation and unanimously expressed their Christian love 1 and concern for Coit and to wish him well in whatever the future might hold." The deacons, Porter said, feel that this ls "a unique opportunjty for each church member to grow splrtually. How few church members have an opportunity such as this where truly you can say, 'Who will do it H I don't?'
