1 ל( א( ג( Abominations to YHWH by Nehemia Gordon "And you must not lay with a male in a sexual manner [lit. as the laying of a woman], it is an abomination." (Lev 18:22) "And a man who lays with a male in a sexual manner [lit. as the laying of a woman], they have both done an abomination, they shall surely die, their blood is upon them." (Lev 20:13) "I hate falsehood and deem it an abomination, I love your Torah." (Ps 119:163) "They deemed me an abomination, they distanced themselves from me, they did not hold back spit from my face." (Job 30:10) When they placed their threshold next to My threshold and their doorposts next to My doorposts with only a wall between Me and them, they would defile My holy name by the abominations that they committed, and I consumed them in My anger. (Ezek 43:8 [JPS]) "And you must love your fellow as you love yourself, I am YHWH" (Lev 18:18) (24) Do not be defiled by any of these, for in all of these were the nations which I am sending away before you defiled.
