T [h] urah {Turah/Torah} Portions, Haftarah & the Good News משפטים Mashpatiym {Judgements} T [h] urah {Turah Instruction} Haftarah Good-News Shamut [h] {Shemot/Exodus} 21:1-24:18 Yermiyahu {Jeremiah} 34:8-21, 33:25-26 Luke 7:1-8:3 What are the four instructions Yahuah wants us to obey? מצוה {Commands} 1. Commandments a מ צ ו ה mitsvah, mits-vaw ; from 6680; a command, whether human or divine (collectively, the Law): (which was) commanded(-ment), law, ordinance, precept. תורה laws } 2. T [h] urah {Instructions/ a תּוֹר ה towrah, to-raw ; or תּ ר ה torah, to-raw ; from 3384; a precept or statute, especially the Decalogue or Pentateuch: law. משפטים {Judgements} 3. Mishpatiym a מ שׁ פּ ט mishpat, mish-pawt ; from 8199; properly, a verdict (favorable or unfavorable) pronounced judicially, especially a sentence or formal decree (human or (participant s) divine law, individual or collective), including the act, the place, the suit, the crime, and the penalty; abstractly, justice, including a participant s right or privilege (statutory or customary), or even a style: + adversary, ceremony, charge, x crime, custom, desert, determination, discretion, disposing, due, fashion, form, to be judged, judgment, just(-ice, -ly), (manner of) law(-ful), manner, measure, (due) order, ordinance, right, sentence, uses, x worthy, + wrong. חקה {Stautes/decree} 4. Kaqah a ח קּ ה chuqqah, khook-kaw ; feminine of 2706, and meaning substantially the same: appointed, custom, manner, ordinance, site, statute. These are the ways of Yahuah s. He is the Lawgiver. In order to know Him you must understand what He expects. When you change His instructions, you are trying to change Him. When we question His law it puts us on dangerous ground. [Not talking about learning His Word]. But remember He changes not. So if you try to change His instruction, you are doing what S [h] atan {Satan} has done in the garden. All four works together, and in some cases overlap one another. But they do have some distinct differences. Ex. 21:6 Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever. deleth, deh -leth; from 1802; something swinging, i.e. the valve of a דּ ל ת 1817.

door: door (two-leaved), gate, leaf, lid. (In Psa. 141:3, dal, irreg.). The next element that we need to see from our source text to look at here is ear. It was a very significant thing that the awl pierced the servant s ear. The word used in scripture is 241. N RzOa ozen, o -zen; from 238; broadness. i.e. (concrete) the ear (from its form in man): + advertise, audience, + displease, ear, hearing, + show. o 238. NÅzDa azan, aw-zan ; a primitive root; probably to expand; but used only as a denominative from 241; to broaden out the ear (with the hand), i.e. (by implication) to listen: give (perceive by the) ear, hear(-ken). See 239. The reason for piercing the ear was a reminder to the servant to hear the words of his sovereign. Another way of looking at this or in its remez understanding, the servant s ear has been opened! to hear and be obedient to the commandments of Yahuah! In Exodus 21 we also see that obedience is connected to service. Psa. 141:1 Yahuah, I cry unto you: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto you. Psa. 141:2 Let my prayer be set forth before you as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Psa. 141:3 Set a watch, O Yahuah, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Psa. 141:4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties. John 10:7 Then said Yahusha unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. John 10:8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 10:10 The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. The word dalet is spelled dalet-lamed-tau (the door is the Shepherd s sign) Rev. 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. What is Shamut [h] {Shemot/Exodus} 21:1-11 really about? Ex. 21:1 Now these are the judgments which you shall set before them. Ex. 21:2 If you buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.

Ex. 21:3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him. Ex. 21:4 If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master s, and he shall go out by himself. Ex. 21:5 And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free: Ex. 21:6 Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever. Now the Daughter Ex. 21:7 And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do. A Father has a right to sell his daughter into servitude. Question should be, why would he do that? Notice it says she should not go out as menservants do. How do menservants leave? They can just leave once the servitude is complete. With a woman it has to be different. Ex. 21:8 If she please not her master, who has betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he has dealt deceitfully with her. yaʿad, yaw-ad ; a primitive root; to fix upon (by agreement or י ע ד appointment); by implication, to meet (at a stated time), to summon (to trial), to direct (in a certain quarter or position), to engage (for marriage): agree,(make an) appoint(-ment, a time), assemble (selves), betroth, gather (selves, together), meet (together), set (a time). o Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? What this means is if she does not please Him, the father has a right to buy her back, redeem her. Why? He dealt deceitfully with her. How could he deal deceitfully with her? garment); bagad, baw-gad ; a primitive root; to cover (with a בּ ג ד 898. figuratively, to act covertly; by implication, to pillage {steal/plundered} : deal deceitfully (treacherously, unfaithfully), offend, transgress(-or), (depart), treacherous (dealer, -ly, man), unfaithful {not in faith} (-ly, man), x very Ex. 21:9 And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters. Ex. 21:10 If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish. ksuwth, kes-ooth ; from 3680; a cover (garment); figuratively, a כּ סוּת veiling: covering, raiment, vesture. ʿownah, o-naw ; from an unused root apparently meaning to dwell עוֹנ ה together; sexual (cohabitation): duty of marriage.

Ex. 21:11 And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money. If he takes another servant {woman servant} he has to do these three things. If he does not she will be free to leave just as a male servant was. Meaning if her father has not redeemed her, and these three things were not done for her, she will go out free without money. The conclusion is this. For the menservants, this was a way to get back on their feet by using their brethren to help them. If I have wealth and my brother does not, I can hire him to work for me and I will help him get back on his feet. For the female servant the father would sell his daughter to a wealthy brother that would intern bless her and she becomes apart of His house. Later the Father receives a bride s price, and wealth as well. This was the process in how we would take care of each other. If the man has done her deceitfully with her, or diminished the three things she will be free. She still would have substance for the time she served in the house. The structure of the 10 words 10 Commandments 2 tablets 10 commandments 4 for Yahuah 6 for mankind What I would like to share is the 10 are actually only 5 principles. Just expanded to 10. The 1 st represents a relationship between Alahiym and us The 2 nd represents a relationship between mankind. The 5 th command is the last command on the 1 st tablet with Yahuah Alahiym. Ex. 20:12 Honor your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which Yahuah your Alahiym gives you. When we look at the 10 words from a vertical standpoint we can see that 1 tablet is for those of authority. The other tablet is setup more horizontally, which deals with each other. What I will also show is the 5 Horizontal commandments go with the 1 st 5 commandments. We will see that it shows relationship. 10 commands but 5 principles. Looking at all 10 commandments from a horizontal angle we will see how one tablets corresponds with the other. Meaning the 1 st commandment on the 1 st tablet corresponds with the 1 st commandment on the 2 nd tablet {Even though we know it is the 6 th commandment}. {1st on 2nd tablet} 1 st Commandment 6 th Commandment Ex. 20:2 I am Yahuah your Alahiym, which Ex. 20:13 You shall not kill. have brought you out of the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}, out of the house of bondage.

What principle(s) do we see that makes these two commandments one principle? Keep in mind these are wedding vows. Yahuah is supposed to be in this person. When you kill someone what are you doing to Him and to this covenant? We want to be in His image and His likeness. We want to be one. Barashiyth {Genesis} gives us a clue to what happens in a marriage. Gen. 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Gen. 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother {5th commandment}, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. o ע צ ם ʿetsem, eh tsem; from 6105; a bone (as strong); by extension, the body; figuratively, the substance, i.e. (as pron.) selfsame: body, bone, x life, (self-)same, strength, x very. o Ex. 24:10 And they saw the Alahiym of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} : and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. The principle would be that you would be murdering someone that is in the image of Alahiym. He or she is to represent Alahiym. Who are we able to kill? Those that have violated His covenant. Noteworthy: killing someone literally is an objective way. But there is a subjective way. The way is to ignore him/her. When we ignore one another we are looking at this person as if they do not exist. Same principle with Alahiym; If we ignore Him, His commandments and His laws, principally speaking we are like killing Him subjectively but we are killing ourselves objectively. What we should understand is we should not rid one another or Yahuah Himself, but recognize His existence, and the best way to do that is in You. If you can do that you will recognize it in others. {2nd on the 2nd tablet} 2 nd Commandment 7 th Commandment Ex. 20:3 You shall have no other mightyones Ex. 20:14 You shall not commit adultery. before me. {Idolatry} 1Sam. 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of Yahuah, he has also rejected you from being king. traphiym, ter-aw-feme ; plural from 7495; a healer; Teraphim תּ ר פ ים (singular or plural) a family idol: idols(-atry), images, teraphim. Teraphim were called the "givers of prosperity," guardians of comforts," "nourishers"

naʾaph, naw-af ; a primitive root; to commit adultery; figuratively, to נ אַף apostatize: adulterer(-ess), commit(-ing) adultery, woman that breaks wedlock. idolatry: whoredom. zanuwn, zaw-noon ; from 2181; adultery; figuratively, ז נוּן Idolatry and adultery can be one in the same. But let us look more into it. Adultery means to mix or render (something) poorer in quality by adding another substance, typically inferior. If we look at this vertically it would be Idolatry, horizontally this would be adultery? These laws are for those subject to the law. Not for those outside the law. Those that are subjected to the law would need to separate from those that believe Yahuah s laws are not righteous, cultic, etc. We are commanded not to even mix with them. 3 rd Commandment 8 th Commandment Ex. 20:7 You shall not take א ת שּׂ א} { ל the Ex. 20:15 You shall not steal. name of Yahuah your Alahiym in vain; for Yahuah will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain. Lo tesa { א ת שּׂ א { ל means to lift up or to carry off. {3nd on the 2nd tablet} Vain shav, shav; from the same as 7722 in the sense of שׁ ו shavʾ, shawv; or שׁ ו א desolating; evil (as destructive), literally (ruin) or morally (especially guile); figuratively idolatry (as false, subjective), uselessness (as deceptive, objective; also adverbially, in vain): false(-ly), lie, lying, vain, vanity. What this means is one thinks the name of Yahuah can be picked up and carry off. It can be stolen, replaced etc. No real value. What is the most precious possession you have? YOURSELF. Not money, houses, cars etc. You think your body possesses or owns the money the car the house. Now let us put this together. Vertically Yahuah does not have a physical body per say, but horizontally He does. It is you and I. We are His mouthpieces. His Name dwells in us. We should never let someone steal what is His. And if you belong to Him, you would want someone that also belongs to Him. Why? So that no one could steal you away, or make His name to be in vain. Think about the slave trade. What things did they do? Change names; steal away a culture, intermarriages or rape. Notice that if I can change your name, steal you from your culture or belief, and mix you with another people I have effectively gotten rid of you as a person, and as a nation.

4 th Commandment 9 th {4th on the 2nd tablet} Commandment Ex. 20:8 Remember the shabbath day, to keep it set-apart. Ex. 20:16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. Why do we keep the shabbath? It is a sign between Him and us We are the witnesses and mouthpiece of what He has done. We are telling the truth about what He has done Vertically we are telling the truth about the actions of Yahuah. Horizontally we are telling the truth about someone s actions. o An action is likening to a possession. Actions are something we own. If we do not know it, we cannot own it. Bearing false witness is stating that you are claiming something you know little or nothing about. o When you lie on someone it is like taken something from me. Example taken their reputation, character, etc. Keeping truth or safeguarding the truth is the principle here. {5th on the 2nd tablet} 5 th Commandment 10 th Commandment Ex. 20:12 Honor your father and your Ex. 20:17 You shall not covet your mother: neighbor s house, you shall not covet your neighbor s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is your neighbor s. What are the similarities? When you think about it vertically first, Parents are a picture of the Creator. We come Him. Horizontally, we come from our parents. Next we should ask ourselves why did He not stop at we should not covet our neighbor? Why did He go into full detail? House Wife Manservant Maidservant Ox Donkey Whatever belongs to your neighbor To answer that we simply need to understand what is coveting chamad, khaw-mad ; a primitive root; to delight in: beauty, greatly ח מ ד beloved, covet, delectable thing, (x great) delight, desire, goodly, lust, (be) pleasant (thing), precious (thing). {Obsession}. Now think about this. If I had house that was huge and someone say I want that. Is it ok for him to want that? Yes. What if he or she becomes obsessed with it. Would that be ok?

No. Why? So suppose I say well I will buy you the same house, would that have fixed the problem? No. What happens is you will not be satisfied. You would keep wanting the things your neighbor has to at some point want to be him. What would be happening is I don t want to me I want to be him. He does not want you to lose who you are. He wants you to be like your parents. They are commanded to raise you a certain way. Your parents are supposed to give you what you need. Honor your parents, is like honoring Alahiym. He gives you what you need. What if the parents did not give you what you need, what if the education was poor or what if you had a traumatizing life? He is sharing you still should not covet what you did not have. The thing your parents did give you is life. Honor the thing they gave you. Don t do away with self. Self-esteem can come two ways. One is affirmation. The second is through others. Luke 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Luke 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. Luke 6:29 And unto him that smites you on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that takes away your cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. Luke 6:30 Give to every man that asks of you; and of him that takes away your goods ask them not again. Luke 6:31 And as you would that men should do to you, do you also to them likewise. Luke 6:32 For if you love them which love you, what thank have you? for sinners also love those that love them. Luke 6:33 And if you do good to them which do good to you, what thank have you? for sinners also do even the same. Luke 6:34 And if you lend to them of whom you hope to receive, what thank have you? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. Luke 6:35 But love you your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Luke 6:36 Be you therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. If we can see the vertical and horizontal principles and relationships, we can move into our role. We may have different roles but one head. Closing scriptures Ex. 24:3 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} came and told the people all the words of Yahuah, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which Yahuah has said will we do. Ex. 24:4 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} wrote all the words of Yahuah, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel}.

Ex. 24:5 And he sent young men of the children of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel}, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto Yahuah. Ex. 24:6 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. Ex. 24:7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: {What book? The ten words and they said, All that Yahuah has said will we do, and be obedient. were not written down yet. What that means is before they were written in stone; it was apart of their Katubah. Once they are in stone it is a picture of being forever}. Ex. 24:8 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which Yahuah has made with you concerning all {This is the covenant Mashiyach was renewing with His blood Matt. 26:28} these words. Ex. 24:9 Then went up Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, and Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron}, Nadab, and Abiyhu, and seventy of the elders of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} : Ex. 24:10 And they saw the Alahiym of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} : and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. Ex. 24:11 And upon the nobles of the children of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} he laid not his hand: also they saw Alahiym, and did eat and drink. Ex. 24:12 And Yahuah said unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give you tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written { כּ ת ב תּ י }; that you may teach them.

The Three Signs. These signs will let Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} know that Yahuah knows what happen, and what they been through.

The Three Signs. These signs will let Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} know that Yahuah knows what happen, and what they been through. The Three Signs Ex. 3:7 And Yahuah said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Mitsraiym {Egypt}, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
