Lorey Trinity, a moveable feast also known as Holy Trinity, is celebrated a week after Pentecost in honor of the most fundamental of Christian beliefs belief in the Holy Trinity. We can never fully understand the mystery of the Trinity, but we can sum it up in the following formula: God is three Persons in one Nature. The three Persons of God Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all equally God, and They cannot be divided. DO YOU KNOW YOUR TRIBUNAL? The Tribunal is a group of specially qualified priests, sisters, and lay persons whose responsibility is to come to the help of people who have experienced divorce. When a divorce occurs, the Catholic Church always seeks to balance two realities. One is the unbreakableness of the bond of marriage. This is God s law. It cannot be broken by human intervention. On the other hand, the Church is concerned about the spiritual welfare of the people involved. Was this a true marriage? Even though a Catholic marriage was celebrated, perhaps there was some weakness in the consent of the parties involved? The Annulment Procedure addresses this problem without affixing blame on either party. If you are divorced or married outside the Catholic Church, please telephone the Tribunal Office. Have no fear. All interviews are Private. There is now no cost for annulments just a small administrative fee. The Tribunal, 222 North 17 th Street, Philadelphia, PA (215) Blessings of Marriage - To our parishioners who married, e.g. at the justice of the peace or outside the Catholic Church please consider getting your union blessed, a convalidation. Please contact Father Moerman to make these arrangements. 2 SATURDAY ST. We thank the many local businesses that have renewed their ads, as well as the many new advertisers in our bulletin. Please let them know that this is where you saw their ad. There are spaces, so if you would like to promote your business to the families of our parish, please call Bob Arnold at Quo Vadis Days June High school men are invited to gather for this 4- day, 3-night camp with the Philadelphia Seminarians. Contact the Vocation Office for the Diocesan Priesthood at (610) RELIGIOUS EDUCATION WHAT DRAWS PEOPLE INTO THE CATHOLIC FAITH? - While there are many different circumstances that lead a person in the direction of Catholicism, the simple answer is, Because God has called them. Most often, God calls to us through the people closest to us, through our families and friends. Most who have entered the Church have been influenced by a Catholic spouse, fiancé, or close friend. For many of these people, a desire to raise their children in the knowledge of God spurred them to action. What is this if not the action of the Holy Spirit? If you, or someone you know, is interested in learning more about Catholic Faith and Worship contact Louis Valenti at or SIJDRE@gmail.com. YOUTH MINISTRY and click on "Youth Ministry.
