2 July 6, Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time The Synod 2014 Vespers prayer service was held on Sunday, June 29th at St. Augustine Cathedral in Bridgeport. It is fitting that we begin the Synod with prayer on the Feast of the Apostles Peter and Paul, the two great Apostles who represent the very foundations of the Church, said Bishop Caggiano. They are the solid rock on which the Church is built, and they remain our protectors. After his homily the Bishop announced the four major topics for the Synod based on the hundreds of comments and suggestions made at the listening sessions and on-line during the spring. Empower the Young Church Build Up Communities of Faith Foster Evangelical Outreach Promote Works of Charity and Justice The Synod will formally open on Saturday, September 20, when delegates convene for the First General Session at St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Trumbull. The year-long process will conclude with a Closing Session in September, 2015.

If you have a child entering the first grade who does not attend Catholic School or if you are a current family who did not receive a registration let us know.
