3 CHURCH-WIDE FLORIDA UNITED METHODIST ANNUAL CONFERENCE June 7-9, Lakeland, FL The 2018 Florida Annual is just around the corner! The Annual is a time when lay delegates and clergy from all the UM churches in the Florida gather for worship, fellowship, and to conduct the business of the church. It includes reports of past and ongoing work; adoption of future goals, programs and budgets; and ordination of clergy members as deacons and elders. The Council of Bishops recently made a recommendation based on the work of the Commission on a Way Forward. This will be one of the topics of conversation at. In Feb. 2019, a special General called by the bishops in 2016 will be held to focus solely on the UMC s positions on human sexuality. REALM CONNECT We are expanding our current ACS database system to Realm Connect. This shift to Realm will serve as a key communication tool for the work of our ministry teams and database for our church family. There are many features and capabilities of this online tool that will allow us to build community, streamline information, and strengthen communication. As we introduce Realm later this summer, look for training sessions with your ministry teams and hands-on demo sessions. THURSDAY AT THREE Within our new pillar structure, we have a lot of exciting updates from various ministries. To stay up-to-date and engaged with the growth of our church family, we encourage you to subscribe to our church newsletter and look for Thursday at Three. Please actively look for this newsletter in your inbox and pray over the work God is doing here. Subscribe: fumcwp.org/subscribe UNITY PRAYER As we continue to live into our vision, it is important that as a vibrant family we understand the need for unity. We recognize that unity values the community of our church family and leads us to the ultimate mission of making disciples of all people. Loving God, We are grateful for this community with such a diversity of gifts and stories that make us who we are. Keep our focus on the mission to make disciples of all people. Guide our hearts as we worship together, strengthen our relationships, and fortify our devotion to Christ-like service as a church family. Allow us to embody unity as we move together to participate in God s kingdom. Remind us, God, that we are each a needed member of this church family and that we have an individual responsibility to respond to the calling you have placed in our lives. Let us sense your grace and presence as we face the future together as a vibrant family. Amen. Sunday Activities NOAH S ARK (3-4 yrs): Asbury Bldg. PROMISELAND (K-5 th grade): Wesleyan Bldg.
