10 Congregational Care Ministry Goals Congregational Care Ministers: We have nineteen persons registered for our first training class of Congregational Care Ministers, (September 11-October 15 ). Following the training, persons will be asked to sign a covenant agreement, which entails the expectations for being a CCM at First United Methodist Church. The Congregational Care Ministers will begin their ministry following the successful completion of the training class and signing the Covenant Agreement. They will serve as "interns" until the official commissioning service. The official Commissioning of CCM's will take place in January 2018.

Market and recruit donors from the congregation. Establish team for Cary Unity Walk, November 11 th. Continue what health means to me spotlights of members. Update Health Ministries page on church website Recruit and create a Health Ministry Committee Research how Health Ministry/Wellness programs are integrated in other churches and determine how this ministry will most effectively fit into FUMCC s long range plan, mission and vision. Align with UM initiative 10,000 Church Challenge: Abundant Health
12 Congregational Care Ministry Goals Senior Adult Goals: Task Force for Senior Adult Day Care at First UMC Cary Establish a new/early retiree ministry that has the DNA of missional communities Establish quarterly seminars on topics for senior adults examples are estate planning, eating for one, funeral planning, and retirement.
13 Outreach Ministry Goals Outreach Goals: Continue to collect the mission team information templates. These templates will be used in print and the web to standardize and provide more effective communication about FUMCC outreach opportunities. Consider ways to evaluate participation in outreach areas. Begin updating website to more clearly communicate outreach opportunities throughout FUMCC. Continue to communicate and live into simplified budget process. Evangelism: Solidify evangelism team structure and goals Begin to implement evangelism strategy

16 United Methodist Men: Outreach Ministry Goals Strengthen communication with all age levels of men in the church about how to be more involved. See how UMM can be a communication portal for men to see what s available within the church, the community and the UMM District Support initiatives that men are involve with around the church and look for opportunities to work with other groups like ASP, UMW, Hispanic Outreach, etc. Provide value to men of the church by offering breakfast speakers with information to enhance men s lives Seek opportunities to interact with with young men. Listen to them, discover their needs, offer assistance, mentor, disciple, and build lasting relationships. Promote the growth of new men s small groups.
