5 Sample Ministry Annual Plan Page 1 of 2 Sample Ministry Annual Plan Provided by Modupe Robinson The Love and Marriage Ministry Goals & Proposed Events Ministry Leaders: Mr. & Mrs. Lovelace 212-LUV-4EVR lovelace@abyssinian.org THE MINISTRY S MISSION The mission of the Love and Marriage Ministry is to inspire, encourage, and equip those who are married and those who are preparing for marriage, by providing practical Biblical resources, advice and opportunities to connect with other married couples in an effort to reveal the heart of Christ within their marriage. GOALS FOR THE YEAR Considering the mission of Abyssinian and your ministry, identify 2-3 goals for the year. Be sure that they are measurable, relevant, and attainable. Refer to these goals as you prayerfully consider and plan events for the year. 1. Host four (4) events once per quarter with at least 5-10 couples in attendance. 2. Create a welcoming environment where married couples get to know each other and learn and grow from each other in an effort to build healthy, lasting, and strong Christian marriages. 3. 6 Sample Ministry Annual Plan Page 2 of 2 MINISTRY EVENT PROPOSALS What is the purpose of this event? What issue will this event/program address? Event No. 1: Welcome Gathering Purpose: This welcome gathering will be the first gathering of the year in which ministry members will have a chance to meet and fellowship with each other. Description: We will engage in a series of games and activities that will give couples tools to take their marriage to a higher level of intimacy, communication and enjoyment. Purpose: Ministry members will learn techniques to improve communication and fight less, deepen and protect their friendship, and keep the fun alive. Couples will leave this workshop more empowered to experience God s supernatural transformation in their marriage! Event No. 2 Fighting For Your Marriage Description: Ministry members will be led through a workshop that that applies tools from the best-selling book, Fighting for Your Marriage. This workshop will be based on the widely acclaimed PREP (Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program) approach which teaches couples how to handle conflict more constructively, protect their happiness, and reduce the odds of breaking up. Event No. 3 Fireproof Your Marriage Purpose: Fireproof Your Marriage is a social Bible study designed for married couples based on FIREPROOF. The film, FIREPROOF, illustrates many biblical principles of faith and the possibility of marriage restoration. This viewing will be an opportunity for ministry members to see how marriage restoration is possible with God. Description: Ministry members will watch the film FIREPROOF which is about a firefighter whose wife wants a divorce, and very accurately depicts many of the issues frequently encountered when marital problems arise.
