3 Sunday School Classes 20+ COLLEGE SUNDAY SCHOOL Sunday 9:30am N202 Contact: Josh Thomas Demographic: Ages: 18+ Average class size: 13 A traditional Sunday school class, where the discussion is not that traditional. Every person, college aged or similar, is welcome to join these not religious spiritual conversations. Young Couples (New name Coming) Sundays 9:30am N221 Contact: Paul Berry paul_berry@mac.com Demographic: Ages 20s Average class size: 10 A new class startup for Couple who are just starting out in life. This group is started in January of 2019, and is still forming its identity. Come and connect with others and form a community that can choose to do life together.

We also enjoy social gatherings and group mission opportunities beyond Sunday mornings.

We enjoy each other s company outside of class with regularly scheduled service and social events. We encourage anyone to bring their young babies to class with them until they are ready to place them in the nursery.

6 GATEWAY Sundays 9:30am S2011 Contact: Anne Tiller Demographic: 30s & 40s, all are welcome This class started for those who are new to University or those who have been attending church but never joined a Sunday School Class. The class is focused on spiritual growth and on creating a support group for our members. LIFE TOGETHER Sundays 9:30am S201 Contact: Johnelle Sparks pjhnellesparks@gmail.com Demographic: Ages 30s-40s Average class size: 24 A group of Christian disciples who value lively Biblical discussion resulting in the application of spiritual truths in our daily lives. Our class is intentional in developing Christ-based relationships, church involvement, and making connections with others. We have monthly social activities, with and without children.

7 FOSTER TO ADOPT Sundays 9:30am S109 Contact: Heather Shealy-Mawhirter This class is for those who foster/foster to adopt/adoptive parents and any who support them. {Both local and foreign} We also welcome those considering foster care or adoption. We study the word of God each Sunday morning and support one another in life outside of that. Whether you are seasoned and adopted many years ago with experience to offer or you re waiting for placement we would love to know you.

We are missionminded and grounded in prayer. All are welcome. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5- For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.

We participate in outreach and mission opportunities and enjoy several yearly social events. We use a team-teaching format to delve into Bible study, Christian books, and DVDs as we strive to understand God s word in today s world and how it guides our lives. We have a Care and Concern committee and Social and Hospitality committee. We pray for

Courses range from 12 to 36 lessons, each of which is a 30-minute presentation by a respected university/seminary professor. The class then discusses the material. 18 Teens and adults who have special needs are welcome to join our Religion in Everyday Life Sunday School Class. We enjoy free breakfast tacos and coffee while we read through the newspaper and discuss things going on in our world. For those who want to dig deeper into God s Word we have another group that meets at the same time/place to learn more about how to become disciples of our Lord Jesus.

This will be a 10-week study. On March 26, we will begin a 7-week study over Maxie Dunham s, With Jesus in the Upper Room. Some of us are new to the church; some of us grew up in it. Some of us just moved to San Antonio; some of us were born and raised here. Our studies range from books of the Bible to Christian non-fiction to custom-designed studies on topics like leadership and spiritual gifts. Most importantly, we're a fellowship of believers learning about God and life together.

Wright's guide to Act, which includes a wealth of information and background detail, is written in his clear style and is accessible for new readers of the Bible, as well as to those who are further on. The discussion will be lively, and Pastor Ben s insight is always helpful in understanding the text as well as the context of our lives in light of scripture. 25 Thursday MOSAIC Thursdays 7-8:15pm S Contact: Max Cain Demographics: All This Study Group meets twice per month 2 nd and 4 th Thursdays. Our studies are Biblical based and are designed to guide individuals in spiritual growth and maturity. Study leaders are rotated by topic of study and length of studies may vary. This study is: "The Theological Journey of John Wesley - Holy Love and the Shape of Grace". The study will be based on the book, The Sermons of John Wesley. We will look at the writings, sermons, and life experiences that shaped possibly the greatest theologian the world has ever known. A theological journey so powerful and moving that it started the Methodist movement.
