3 Dear New Life Friends, I am so excited about the possibilities for every person to be connected to a small group. In your hands is our small group directory. I hope this will help each of you find a place to share life together. We know that living the Christian life is so much more than simply attending a weekend service. Real life happens outside the walls of the church. Small groups are a way to connect yourself with others who will help you on your walk with God. No matter where we are in our journey, it is always a bit easier if we are living life in a group of friends. That is why I encourage every person at New Life to dive into a small group. This directory should make it possible to find a place where you can build relationship with Christ and others. Take the time to become a part of what God is doing at New Life. 4 The Path: Family Groups Family is the foundation upon which lives are built. Our goal is to equip you with the tools you need to build a healthy, whole, God-Centered family. The Path is designed to come alongside each family to equip and encourage you though your journey. These groups are scheduled on Sunday mornings in order to provide you with childcare. Our hope is that this will allow all families to be able to participate in a group! Parenting the Early Years As parents our primary focus for our children is shepherding their hearts and helping to shape their behavior. During this group we are going to come back to the foundations of parenting as we specifically talk about the joys and the challenges of parenting young children. This group is targeted toward parents of children ages 3-8. 5 The Well The Well The Well is a faith based drug and alcohol support group that integrates Biblical principles and proven clinical treatment interventions in a dynamic group environment. Their mission is to offer those who struggle with drug and alcohol addiction a safe and supportive place to heal. 6 Pure Desire Men's Groups There is a battle going on with millions of victims trapped in the struggle with no apparent way out. Pure Desire is the answer to this desperate cry for help from men who have tried to build sexual holiness in their lives and failed and failed and failed. Here you will find hope for establishing healthy boundaries and gain a new appreciation for Christ's healing power and presence. The time is now to begin walking in victory and helping others to do the same. Join us early on Sunday mornings as we set the ground-work for God to move. We meet early and pray hard. God is in our midst as we lift up our pastors, church, community, and the world. There are two separate groups that meet. The first group is led by Larry Patoine and the second group (AKA: Man School) is led by Pastor Jeff. These groups are open to ALL MEN! 7 Men's Groups Act Like Men: Look around. What's so desperately needed where we live, in our culture are men who embrace all that God created them to be. Men who are loud and ruthless about their sin, but patient and full of grace in leading others. Men who long to follow God without limits and meet the needs of those around them without hesitation. Here at 'Man School' we learn what it is to truly be a man after God's heart and fight hard for the lives we were meant to live! 8 Women's Groups Gideon Ever feel insufficient? Could it be that your weaknesses are the keys that unlock God's strength? Through a look at the life of Gideon, you can discover that instead of ignoring, neglecting, or trying to escape your weaknesses, you can see them as the gifts, given specifically and strategically by God to unlock the door of God's strength. This Bible study is designed to help participants know the voice of God: His language, character, and tone of voice. By growing closer to God through His Word, participants will be able to discern God's voice from the voice of strangers. 9 Women's Groups Worship & Prayer At the beginning of 2014 our church set aside 21 days to seek God for breakthrough through prayer, fasting, and worship. This group's intention is to continue in that spirit of prayer. Breaking from the traditional "small group" model, this is an informal time of prayer and worship as we seek the Lord for breakthrough both personally and corporately. Bring your friends and join us on Wednesday mornings in the Kids Zone for a time of fun, fellowship, and fitness! All ages and fitness levels are welcome! 10 Encounter: The Journey to Freedom Encounter is a journey to set people free from the hindrances of their past and into the fullness of the Father's love. It is a 12 week course with a weekend retreat included. Commit yourself and watch what God will do in you! You will never be the same again!
