May Christ the Good Shepherd now enfold him in his tender love. The pall is placed on the coffin Placing of Flowers - Maelisa Hartley Fr Pat: All: Placing of Symbols With love and reverence we place these flowers on Derek s coffin In his life he has borne rich fruit and now knows life that will last forever. For the support and consolation of Derek s family and friends. God of comfort, Mary Carvosso: For people everywhere who are grieving, that the pain they endure may not be too much to bear, and that they may experience consolation from the Christ who suffered and died. God of comfort, Robyn Otto: For the faith community of St Martin s, where Derek and Maelisa have been parishioners for many years. God of comfort, Martina Hale: For all who are ill at this time, may they be touched by the healing hand of God and strengthened by the knowledge of his presence in their weakness.
