1 1 Parish of the Precious Blood December 23, Dear Friends, In the midst of all our current challenges and concerns, the love of God the Father is made manifest to us in the wonderful gift of His Son, Jesus. With the angels in Bethlehem, our faith moves us to sing: Glory to God in the highest and peace to His people on earth! We recognize that true peace on earth flows from our recognition and praise of God in our lives. Christmas has a way of bringing to Church individuals and families who, for various reasons, have not been to Mass or the Sacraments for months or years. What a wonderful and grace-filled opportunity to put aside past differences and old habits and begin anew that prayerful relationship with the Lord and His Church community. I extend to all of you an open, grateful heart of welcome. Together, may we grow in strength and grace to know and celebrate together God s presence in our lives and His dominion over all things of this world. May our Lord Jesus Christ, born in Bethlehem, bless you, your families and loved ones at this blessed time of hope and grace. 4 4 YOUTH MINISTRY Mission Diaper Brigade! COFFEE & CONVERSATION Join us after Mass on Sunday s at St. Mary s Church in Presque Isle during the month of December for Coffee and Conversation. Mission Diaper CHURCH & FAMILY LIFE COMMISSION Brigade The PPB Youth Ministry is on a mission, a SERVICE MISSION, during the month of December. We need your help to successfully complete this mission. The PPB Youth Ministry is collecting items for the Pregnancy Care Center of Aroostook County. This Pregnancy Care Center life affirming ministry serving the pregnancy related concerns and educational needs of women and teens. The PCC offers emotional, spiritual, and material support to both our clients and their families. Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to help PPB Youth Ministry collect size 5 & 6 diapers, wipes, desitin and baby wash. Donations can be dropped off at all Worship Sites as well as the Holy Rosary and St Mary s Rectory offices by December 30th. PPB Youth Ministry Happenings: Youth Masses are held at 9am at St. Mary s January 20 February 10** (second Sunday due to school vacation week) March 17 April 14 ** (second Sunday due to school vacation week) May 5 ( last Youth Mass for academic year) PPB Youth Ministry is selling magnets. Cost is $5 per magnet. Great way to share the faith and help out our youth!
