3 Support from other Catholic Parishes. This week, we received two beautiful letters from two Catholic Parishes along with unexpected donations to assist St. Therese in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence. Here are some excerpts: Dear Father Trent, Greetings from St. Therese in Montauk, New York - This past summer, a parishioner from your St. Therese visited our St. Therese. She was attending a wedding here.she was delighted to find St. Therese here. It was during Hurricane Florence and she was anxious as to how her St. Therese in Wrightsville Beach was surviving the storm. Like your St. Therese, we are a summer community. Our church is two blocks from the ocean. When I heard about your situation after Florence, I suggested to our community that we do something to help our sister parish in the south - from one St. Therese to another. Enclosed in our special collection for you and your people. The parishioners felt it best to send our support and prayers directly to you. God bless you.and be assured of our continued prayers for your restoration. Sincerely in St. Therese, Father Tom Murray and the people of St. Therese North Note: This letter was accompanied by a check for $1, Reverend Father, After a terrible disaster, we know big relief organizations move in to help, but bureaucracies can be slow.our parish decided we would pick a couple of Catholic Churches near the hurricane damage and make a direct donation so that you would have the discretion to direct the money towards the greatest immediate need. Our prayers are with you. God bless, Reverend Thomas Keller and the Assumption-Mattese Parish Community, St. Louis, MO Note: This letter was accompanied by a check for $6, We are so appreciative of the thoughtfulness and generosity of our sister parishes. We hope that you will join Father Trent and the staff here in keeping these kind pastors - and their congregations - in your prayers. SACRAMENTS Reconciliation: Confessions are usually heard on Saturdays from 4:15 PM - 5:00 PM in the Reconciliation Room at the Church, or at other times by appointment. Communal Services are scheduled during Advent and Lent. Eucharistic Adoration: TBD - after storm remediation work. Baptisms: Important information can be found on our website at as to how to get started. Adults interested in becoming Catholic should inquire about the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Contact the Parish Office if you have questions. Anointing: Persons concerned about their health are encouraged to receive the Sacrament of the Sick. Marriage: Our wedding guidelines document which contains key information can be found at Couples planning marriage are asked to contact the Parish Office at least 6 months prior to their proposed wedding date. Confirmation: Adults seeking Confirmation should call the Parish Office. Young people are usually confirmed in the 10th grade after two years of preparation. St. Therese is a joyful and welcoming Catholic Parish, united in Christ, promoting discipleship through community, outreach and service.
