We can truly proclaim that: The Lord is my Shepherd, there is nothing I shall want. But the challenge that this imposes on us is that we need to reach out and shepherd others with the same loving care we have received. We are called to share what we have received and further the mission and ministry of our Good Shepherd by compassionately shepherding those whom God has placed in our lives.

Please watch the bulletin in August for the next session. EUCHARISTIC ADORATION Eucharistic Adoration, Wednesday, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. If you are able to schedule a time, please call Joan Kaye at PARISH LOTTERY Tickets for our new Lottery, which will begin on August 15 th, are now available. Tickets can be purchased at the parish office or in Church before and after Masses. Support your parish by purchasing a ticket. Thank you! SCHEDULING MASSES FOR THE YEAR 2019 We are now accepting Mass intention for We would like to review our Mass scheduling policy. Presently, we will be scheduling Mass intentions for the entire year. Mass availability is on a first-come, first serve basis. We have only two Mass intentions per weekend available, one weekend Mass must be said for the intention of the parishioners. In order to give as many families as possible the opportunity to have a Mass, only one weekend Mass intention per family can be scheduled per year. There is no limit to the number of Mass intentions per family scheduled for daily Masses. If you have any questions, please call the parish office at Thank you. SCHEDULE YOUR PHOTO FOR OUR PARISH DIRECTORY Sign up sheets for the photo directory are available on the ramp area starting this weekend. Be sure to pick up your registration packet after you sign up. Photographers will be here on the following days: July 31, August 1,2,3,4,6,7,8 (session hours during weekdays are 2:00 PM through 9:00 PM; and on Saturdays will be from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. All photography sessions will be held in the church basement/chapel. 5 TH SUNDAY ROSARY To help bring parishioners together in a spiritual activity and promote devotions to Mary, our parish Knights of Columbus, Council 11901, is pleased to conduct a 5 th Sunday Rosary on July 29 th, following the 8:30 Mass, in the front pews of the Church. All Knights and parishioners are encouraged to join in praying the rosary as a corporate body. All are invited to participate.

4 HANDICAPPED PARKING AREA We are asking that those who park in the Handicapped area to please pull forward so that three rows of cars are able to fit in the space. The Christian Service Center is in dire need of canned fruit, dried pasta, peanut butter, jelly, cereals & juices. 5 SCHOOL SUPPLY PROGRAM The Social Concerns Committee of All Saints Parish will be sponsoring a School Supply Program. This program will be opened to families that are struggling financially, not only in our parish but from within our local communities. This program will be opened to children from Kindergarten through Grade 6. Our goal is to supply each child with a new backpack which will be filled with necessary school supplies. Our committee will supply the backpacks and we will be asking our parishioners to help by purchasing school items from the itemized list below. All school items purchased can then be dropped off in the ramp area of the church before all the weekend masses during the month JULY. There will be a designated container set up in the ramp area for the donated items. During the summer, your parish provides activities and services that keep our community together. Unfortunately, church expenses continue but collection sometimes dwindle during summer. We wish you a safe, enjoyable summer and we remind you to plan ahead to use your weekly Offering Envelopes every week, even for the weeks you aren t here! Thank you!!! DIOCESAN EVENTS SCRANTON CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC CONFERENCE The Scranton Catholic charismatic renewal is sponsoring its 36 th annual conference at the University of Scranton during the weekend of August 3 rd August 5 th. This year s theme is He restores my soul! The Conference will feature inspiring speakers and uplifting music, Mass is celebrated each afternoon. A well-stocked book/gift store will be available. Separate tracks for Children and Youth are also available. The full-weekend Registration Fee is $50 up to and including July 23 rd and $65 after July 23 rd. Single-day registration is also available on-site. Commuting and brown-bagging is encouraged, while dormitory housing and cafeteria meals are available at a moderate cost. 6 Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults: Adult preparation for the Sacrament of Initiation. If you know of anyone who might be interested in inquiring about the Catholic Faith, call the parish office or Maureen Dillon at (570) Classes are generally held on Sunday mornings after the 8:30 AM Mass. Baptism of Infants: Parents requesting Baptism for their children should make an appointment with the Pastor to begin the process. Also, parents seeking Baptism must attend a Baptism preparation class prior to their child s Baptism. Catholic Marriage: Diocesan Policy states that those considering celebrating the Sacrament of Marriage must meet with the pastor at least six months before any desired wedding date. Please call the office to schedule an appointment with the Pastor. Communion for the Homebound: Homebound parishioners who wish to receive Holy Communion please call the office at Hospital Visitation: Please notify the Parish Office if you or a loved one is hospitalized as the hospital no longer notifies the parish. If a patient would like to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation or Anointing of the Sick or if he or she would just like a visit, please call the office to make arrangements. FESTIVAL FOR THE INTELLECTUALLY DISABLED The Annual Festival for the Intellectually Disabled will be held on Sunday, August 19 th. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, sweetcorn, soda and ice cream. The event will be held at the Plains Polish American Veterans Pavilion, 2 South Oak St., Wilkes-Barre (near Penn-Lee Footwear) from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM (free of charge). Notice Regarding reporting Sexual Abuse of a Minor It is the policy of the Diocese of Scranton to report any allegation of sexual abuse of a minor to law enforcement. If you are a victim of sexual abuse committed by a priest, deacon, religious or lay employee or volunteer of the Diocese of Scranton, you are encouraged to immediately report the matter to law enforcement. If any priest, deacon, religious, lay employee or volunteer of the Diocese of Scranton has cause or reason to suspect that a minor has been subjected to any form of abuse, including child sexual abuse, the matter will be reported to law enforcement. In accordance with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania s Child Protective Services Laws, reports of suspected child abuse should also be made immediately by phone to the 24-HourChild Abuse hotline (ChildLine) at or electronically at It is also the policy of the Diocese to adhere to all civil and state regulations. To this end, the Diocese is equally committed to adhering to the norms of the Code of Canon Law and to upholding the tenets of the USCCB Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, which includes supporting victims of sexual abuse in their pursuit of emotional and spiritual well-being.
