3 Events at Holy Trinity Shchedriy Vechir/ Щедрий Вечір at Holy Trinity on Sat. January 5th after 4 pm Divine Liturgy. 4 Epiphany Experience St. Joseph and St Mary Częstochowa parishes in New Kensington will present the Nativity story on Sunday, January 6th at 2 PM at the St. Joseph parish, 1125 Leishman Avenue, New Kensington. The event will include the portrayal of the Nativity Scripture readings. Live animals, singing of Christmas carols by the combined choirs are included in the telling of the story of our Lord s birth, and the visitation of the shepherds and Wise Men. A group will leave our parking lot at 1 PM on January 6th. 6 Did you know that Christians are the world s most persecuted minority? Approximately 215 million Christians experience high, very high, or extreme persecution. North Korea remains the most dangerous place to be a Christian. Islamic extremism is the global dominant driver of persecution, responsible for initiating oppression and conflict in 35 out of the 50 countries on the 2017 list from Open Doors.
