Taize is the name of an order of ecumenical monks who have dedicated themselves to chanting for peace every day since Leading us in simple chants interspersed with profound readings will be guest musician Rev. Andy Anderson accompanied by Dr. Andrea, Rev. Bonnie Anderson and others who will share readings. It will be very simple, beautiful and filled with peace. Invite your friends!

4 THE POWER OF YOUR WORD Starting Wednesdays, April 5 th from 6:00-8:30 PM This eight-week experiential course teaches the fundamentals of prayer. You ll learn why life-affirming prayer is answered and how it is answered. You ll learn how to pray effectively and become aware of how you limit and interrupt your own prayers. When you complete this class, you ll have new prayer tools to work with. Join Rev. Erin Marie for this class in Consciousness. Tuesdays from 6:00-8:30 PM Join Dr. Andrea in an eight-week adventure as we explore the work of Joseph Campbell and our own personal myth. Joseph Campbell was perhaps the greatest thinker of the 20th Century in the areas of mythology and religion. Campbell s works are relevant to the metaphysical student because he speaks to the heart of the archetypal symbolism which we all share symbolism which forms the crux of all world mythology. Mythology is the means by which we go beyond the appearance of the physical universe and access our inner depths, ultimately the deepest part of ourselves the One which unifies all. No charge (contribution for snacks requested). Wake Up Bellingham A meditation group for young adults. Meet 1 st & 3rd Thursdays from 7:00-8:30 PM in the Classroom. PRAYERS OF INTENTION PRACTITIONER SUNDAY April 9, Noon-1:30 PM The Practitioners of the Center are offering a series of Practitioner Sundays once a month on the second Sunday of every month this quarter. Their April offering is an opportunity to explore and pray about your intention. They will be in the classroom, working one-on-one. These prayer options are offered as a gift and you are welcome to join in even if this is your first Sunday! APRIL TREATMENT Fully present, fully grounded, I allow my fierce and powerful spiritual warrior self to move in me. This power and this energy is the living Spirit of the Divine. It is in me, acting as me. I stand tall in this presence, recognizing my wholeness and my strength and my connection to all people and all of life. I embrace the movement and the transformation and the inspiration in me that is God-in-action. I recognize that change happens, there is a natural ebb and flow, there is a time when the old must go to allow space for the new. I allow. Knowing that I am always fully supported and guided by the living Presence of Spirit, I relax and I open to the flow. I release the temptation to stay in old patterns, no matter how familiar or how comforting they may appear. The higher power of Spirit fills me and calls to me. I am awake. The vast Intelligence that is God is flowing in my life and in me now. All is well. I integrate the shifting and transforming into my greater being, stepping more fully into my own greater wisdom. 6 THE SPIRITUAL PATH-YES! May 5-7, 2017 You are invited to attend a weekend retreat with Dr. Andrea and Rev. Sue Millerborn on Samish Island from Friday evening, May 5 through Sunday afternoon, May 7. Our theme for the retreat is Say Yes to Your Spiritual Path, and the retreat will offer many opportunities for inner connection and outer expression. Rev. Sue is an accomplished yoga instructor, Gandhian scholar and CSL minister who brings rich gifts to the retreat experience. She and Dr. Andrea will share spiritual stories, guide us through personal growth workshops and share wisdom for every day. This is the first weekend retreat offered for all people including families. We will have a separate children s program for ages 2-4 and 5-12 while adults are meeting. (See registration form for details). Many lodging opportunities are available including tent, RV, single cabin and shared cabins. Pick up a registration form today. April 9 Noon in the Office Karol Stiegman, our Victory Garden chairwoman, is hosting a meeting for those interested in helping with the garden this year. Last year our simple lasagna bed gardens produced 384 pounds of organic vegetables for the Bellingham Food Bank! We would love to do that again!! 7 Seder Ceremony & Potluck Celebration Friday, April 14 from 6:00-9:00 PM Rabbi Kalish and Reverend Erin Marie will once again present a meaningful Passover Seder*, not only offering words of wisdom from the Jewish tradition but also from Science of Mind. This ritual meal and celebration will be an opportunity to explore what keeps us enslaved and what sets us free, since it s an ongoing process throughout our lives. Fashioned on the traditional seder, we will have unleavened bread and matzoh ball soup. We will have four questions and four cups of juice and an orange on our seder plate. Please join us for this potluck meal. In keeping with tradition, please bring a dish to share that does not contain any of the following: shellfish, pig meat, wheat, rye, barley, oats nor spelt. We also request a donation of $10 per person to defray the cost of materials. Please plan to arrive between 5:30 and 6:00, so we can begin the ritual(s) promptly at 6:00. *Se der: A Jewish ritual service and ceremonial dinner for the first night or first two nights of Passover.
