Contact Brian Dilday with questions, CHURCH DIRECTORY Dave McNeilly, Interim Pastor Amanda Hines, Associate Pastor Kathleen Williams, Director of Christian Education Karrie Rushing, Director of Music Brian Dilday, Youth Director PIANO RECITAL Since July 2017, we have all enjoyed the marvelous Yamaha Concert Grand Piano in the sanctuary. Since that time, we have been working with members of the ECU piano faculty to host a piano recital on our new instrument. Wait no longer - that recital date is Thursday, March 15th. All are invited to come at 7pm for a magnificent and varied program of piano works featuring members of the ECU Keyboard Department, followed by a lingering in the Welcome Center. Brad Collier, Organist Deborah Durham, Financial Administrator Janice Gray, Office Administrator Terrence Clemons, Sexton A Word from our New Interim Pastor Hello! First of all, several words of thanks. Thank you to Gibson McCall and the Interim Search Committee for the kindness shown to me and the wonderful welcome. You have been a blessing. Thanks to all of First Church who greeted me with such warmth when I worshiped with you. Your worship was touching, the order worked well, and the music was wonderful -- most impressive. Thanks to church staff and leadership. You have gone out of the way to answer my questions directly and gracefully, and I have sensed that you will continue to help me find my way. My entire experience with First Church has been positive -- and I'm excited about growing in service with you! I'd also like to share a few words with you about myself. I am married to Cindy Evens now for five years. While she will be remaining back in the DC area managing her business, she will be joining me in Greenville at times, as I will be returning to DC upon occasion to visit her. I have four grown children whom I both like and love - with one grandchild and another due any day now. Over my 39 years of ministry, I have served three churches (10, 20 and 9 years) and have found each church has blessed me every bit as much as I have offered blessing. I enjoy playing bridge, love classical music (on LPs!), and while I can no longer play on church softball or volleyball teams (sigh), I do enjoy riding my bicycle. My faith finds its focus in Jesus. His simple daily grace and constant compassion toward all call me to follow him. My challenge is to faithfully trust in God as Jesus trusted, to care for all as Jesus cared, and proclaim the good news he shared and brought to life with such glory. I am far from perfect - you will discover this shortly - but am counting on the grace of God and your ongoing gracefulness, to help us conduct a shared ministry pleasing to our Lord. More on interim ministry plans/goals to come in the near future. For now, may God bless our ministry from the very start! Dave
