The bulletins can be found in the back of the Church (on the food bank container) and the Chapel. Please note: there will be no 7:30 AM or 12:10 PM Mass on that day. ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO SEE THE POPE There are a few openings left on the St. Ignatius bus - please call the rectory ASAP to reserve your seat. The diocese is still awaiting travel details from the bus company, as soon as we know the time of departure we will contact you with the information. This event is being described as a walking event - all pilgrims need to be prepared to walk several miles, to stand for long periods, and to adjust to unpredictable circumstances in such a large crowd. It is anticipated that pilgrims will need to bring onto your bus some type of food and beverage, but no information has been published about what type of personal belongings may be carried into the secured area. The managed highway access, along with the extreme volume of bus traffic, will make it impossible to consider a meal stop along the way. When we learn any more about permissible items to carry with you throughout the day, we will publish this information. Reminder to those who have not made their final payment - it is NOW DUE! For tickets, please contact Tom Havrilak at COLORFUL CHINA As an ongoing collaborative program between World Arts Experience, Slovak Heritage Society, Good Shepherd Academy, Wyoming Seminary and St. Ignatius Community Council, we present Colorful China. This is a group of over twenty ethnic Chinese performers, including dancers, singers, instrumentalists and artists. The group arrives on Monday, October 5th and will present an afternoon program for the students at Good Shepherd Academy and then enjoy a traditional American Thanksgiving Dinner in Conlan Hall. Last year, a similar program was held for the Bratislava Boys Choir and their host families. An evening performance and art exhibit will be held at Wyoming Seminary s new Kirby Art Center. The performance is free and open to the public. Lacina Continued on page 7 ROSARY RALLY The Knights of Columbus, combined Councils of the Wyoming Valley, will host their 39th Annual Rosary Rally on Sunday, September 13th. This year s Rosary Rally will take place at All Saints Parish, Willow Street, Plymouth. All the faithful are invited to attend this prayerful event with special emphasis in praying for the Holy Father as he soon travels to the United States. A rosary procession from the church, through the streets, will begin at 1:45 PM. The Knights of Columbus will carry the Our Lady of Fatima Pilgrim Virgin Statue in the procession followed by all the faithful. Those who will not be in the procession are invited to go directly to the church by 3:00 PM, at which time Marian devotions will take place, soon followed by Holy Mass. This Mass will satisfy Sunday obligation. Refreshments will be served in the school hall following the Mass. MARY S Glass and Plastic containers will not be allowed All other decorations will be allowed for two weeks at Easter, Mother s Day, Memorial Day, Father s Day and Christmas. At the end of the two-week period, all decorations not yet reclaimed will be removed from the Cemetery. Boxes of all types and urns must be among the articles removed. Planting of shrubs and trees within the Cemetery must be approved by the Superintendent. Shrubs, trees and decorations of any type which become unsightly or uncontrollable, shall be removed by the Cemetery at any time. The use of Vigil Lights will be permitted on the eve of All Souls Day, and for ten days thereafter. All stone, metal, and any other borders around monuments and/or memorials are prohibited. No planting around flat stones; no planting in back of tombstones; no planting beyond 6 inches in front of tombstones. No raising of flat stones or army markers above ground level.
