3 INFANT BAPTISMS Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time, June 25, 2017 The Sacrament is celebrated on Sunday at 1:15 PM. by appointment only. A Pre-Baptism Catechetical Session is required for parents. Godparents (Sponsors) must be practicing Catholics and at least 14 years of age. A practicing non-catholic Christian may act as a witness along with a Catholic Sponsor. RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS We welcome all unbaptized individuals, friends, family members and neighbors who are not Roman Catholic Christians or those individuals within the Catholic Tradition who may have never received the Sacraments of the Holy Eucharist or Confirmation to participate in our parish program for adult Christian Initiation at this time. This program is also ideal for baptized Christians of other Christian denominations who are interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith. If you know of someone who may wish to experience the richness of our Catholic Faith and who desires to participate fully in the sacramental life of the Church, please contact Barbara Bunag at MATRIMONY Dear Brothers and Sisters, The Summer of 2017 is now officially upon us. The last days of school have been celebrated and the students are released into the joy of this blessed season. During the coming week I will be attending a Conference at Notre Dame University, in South Bend, Indiana. This Conference is for Pastors who have Catholic Schools as part of their parochial mission. Bishop Checchio has requested that I attend this conference and I look forward to learning from the experience. I will certainly remember all of you and your intentions at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and the beautiful grotto dedicated to Our Lady. During July and August there will not be a 7 am Mass on Sunday. The schedule for Masses will be the Saturday, 5pm Vigil Mass and on Sunday Mass will be celebrated at 8, 10, and Noon. The Sacrament of Matrimony requires an extensive period of preparation. Contact must be made with Parish Center one year in advance. In Christ, Fr. Thomas MINISTRY TO THE SICK The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist and the anointing of the sick is available to our parish sick and shut-ins upon request. Please inform the parish concerning the needs of the sick by calling the Parish Office. If any member of the parish is hospitalized, please notify the Parish Office immediately so that a member of the Pastoral Staff may visit.
