Thou shalt not make unto the any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the lord thy god is a jealous god, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shalt not take the name of the lord thy god in vain: for the lord will not hold them guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work. 2 Praises To God and prayers Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Praises to God Please contact us and let us know when your prayers have been answered. This allows us to give the praise to God that He deserves. Amanda Yeary: She had a baby girl. They are both in good health. Bethany Forester: She got hurt in an ATV accident. She is doing well and was baptized at the Feast of Tabernacles. Connie Griffith: She was told her cancer might be back. But, after her meeting with the doctor she was told that everything looked good and that she wouldn t need to come back for 6 months. **************************************** Prayers and updates These requests for prayers have been made recently for these people. Give god thanks for hearing our prayers. Carolyn Unnewehr: She is still having dizzy spells. Mary Strong: Having many health issues. Norman Curran: Fell at the feast and bruised his ribs. Alice Lukenbill: She may have had a heart attack. It has left her weak and she is now in rehab. Gary & Sandy Proffitt s daughter Wendy & Granddaughter Krista: Krista needs prayers for guidance in making right decisions in her life. Wendy, her mom needs prayers of strength and support. Marilyn Turner: Severe pain in her eye. Ted Hall: He is afraid for his wife and daughter. His wife is dabbling in demonic areas, which is making it unsafe for their daughter. He is trying to get full custody to protect his daughter. Rodney Curran: Having pain in his legs. He had surgery on October 4 th. Ann Gieselman: She is scheduled to have hip replacement on October 25 th. Marlene Brown: She is in a situation that is causing her great stress. She needs out of this and needs prayer for protection until she can move. Kate Forester: She fell and broke her leg in two places and is now recovering. Update: She is now in a boot and is doing well. Roy Marlin: Bladder Cancer. Continued prayers and updates David Bruckner: Tests on David have revealed bone lesions in several places, which are a result of previously undiagnosed prostate cancer that has begun to spread. Update: He is back in the hospital with a blood clot. Lelan Forester: He is still doing PT after breaking his back in an ATV accident. Update: His shoulder has healed, but he is still having some pain there. He is beginning to have some feeling, but still can t move his legs or feet yet. Pray for his wife Caitlin. She needs strength and good health as she is taking care of Lelan and their daughter. Diane Cacchio: My nephew, Marc, aged 23, was in a motorcycle wreck. No update yet. Verna Walker: She has lupus and it s causing her breathing. Problems. Jack Bearce: Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Minnie Lindsay: pray that God will comfort her, strengthen her as she has health problems. Jack Downard: He needs God s protection around him. Jeremy White: He is still recovering after a fall from a cliff. Update: He had surgery to replace part of his skull and returned back home to recover. Brenda Hartnett: She is fighting many health issues. She also fell recently. Rachel Bollig: She is still having health problems and is still in the nursing home getting treatment. Cosden Foland: He had glaucoma in both eyes. He had surgery on his left eye and it is doing much better. He had surgery on the right eye. Pray for complete healing for both eyes. Keyla Scrogham: She has completed six rounds of chemo, but her cancer is still active. Nicole Forester: She is pregnant and needs prayers for good health for her and the baby. Barbara Chase s brother George: He has cancer. It is so important that we receive updates on any prayer requests. If we have not received an update within 30days of posting the prayer request, we will remove them from the list believing that their prayers have been answered. Working together to spread the gospel of Jesus, the Christ How we look at or do things sometimes, is very interesting. As you read the following, take a moment and consider how you look at or do different things in your life. IT S STRANGE Unknown Author It s strange how twenty dollars seems like such a large amount when we donate it to the church, but such a small amount when we go shopping. It s strange how 2 hours seem so long when we re at church, and how short they seem when we re watching a good movie. It s strange that we can t find words to say when we re praying, but we have no trouble thinking of what to talk about with a friend. It s strange how difficult it is to read one chapter of the Bible, but how easy it is to read a popular novel. It s strange how everyone wants front row tickets to 3 a concert, but they want to sit in the back row at church. It s strange how we need to know about an event for church 2-3 weeks before the day, so we can add it to our calendar, but we can adjust it for other events in the last minute? It s strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about God and share it with others, but it s easy to repeat gossip. It s strange how we believe everything that magazines and newspapers say, but we question the words of the Bible. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: 1 Peter 4:17 KJV

4 A Miracle Out of a Tragedy Feast of Tabernacles in Masai Church of God, Kenya Pastor Martin, in Kenya, sent us these photos of a tragic accident in which over 50 people died. Our thoughts and prayers go out for those families who lost loved ones. The report was that the driver lost control and the bus rolled down a large hill, throwing passengers and crushing others. As you can see from the inset picture, the bus was completely flattened. You can also see the roof laying several feet from the bus. The miracle from this is that two families of the church of God received only injuries from the crash and are doing well. They had been anointed and prayers were made for God s protection before they left on the bus. Praise God. Pastor Martin s little girl, Samantha, smashed her thumb a few weeks ago and also fell into a well recently. They dig the wells to catch rainwater for drinking. Most who have ever fallen into these wells were either killed or badly injured. God protected her from harm and the doctors gave her a good report and sent her home. Her thumb is also well. 4

The work continues to go on in the Philippine churches of God, despite many struggles and hardships. All of the churches continue to grow, continuing to add more souls to God s family. The bible schools are doing well and the students are all using what they learn to help others learn about the gospel of Jesus, the Christ. They are planning a large convention which will bring all of the churches together to learn and fellowship together. This is a four day event, planned for November 2nd- 5th. Pastor Nestor said in one of his letters that they are expecting a mighty moving of God s presence there. Please pray for this event and God s protection throughout it. We will post more pictures in the December newsletter. But, as you can see they are staying very busy and working very hard there. Thousands of people showed up at these sites and were fed with spiritual and physical food while celebrating, worshipping and fellowshipping before the Lord. They used the funds we sent them before the feast to buy bibles to give out between the two groups and the brethren were happy. They still need more bibles and a roof for one of the church buildings. They want to thank everyone for the support that they have received and for the thoughts and prayers of everyone. Amen. Matthew 28:18-20 The brethren in Sagero are preparing to build a place to hold church services. They are gathering bricks for the walls and other materials and hope to begin construction soon. Please pray for good weather and safety for all who will be building the structure. 9

Due to the dates of the feast falling in late September and early October, we chose to produce a combined October/November issue of the newsletter. We have been producing a church newsletter now for over 20 years and it has grown a lot since the first ones which were a single page. For several months we have discussed sending the newsletter on a bi-monthly basis. But, we realize that many who are shut in, enjoy receiving it every month. So, we would love to have your thoughts about this.
