Thou shalt not make unto the any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the lord thy god is a jealous god, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shalt not take the name of the lord thy god in vain: for the lord will not hold them guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work. But the seventh day is the Sabbath to the lord thy god; in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, not thy maidservant, not thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: for in six days the lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it. Linda Salmon: she entered into rest awhile back. Katie Yoder, Rachel Boling s mother, had entered into rest. **************************************** Prayers and updates These requests for prayers have been made recently for these people. Give god thanks for hearing our prayers. Chris Younger: Fell off a roof onto his head and is in bad condition. Bowman family: Their son Don killed himself. His brother found him dead in the yard. Connie Griffith: That she can overcome dizziness that is troubling her. Bonnie Chrisman: Having pain in her back. Carl Hill: Health problems Christine Shultz: youngest daughter of Candy Shields and a cousin of David Lind---has breast cancer that has went into the lymph nodes. Several years ago she had uterine cancer. Keep her and her family in your prayers. Lisa Jamison: She went to doctor about head and ear aches. They did a CT scan and told her that there is something going on in her head. They are not sure what it is but have scheduled more extensive tests. What they have told her so far does not sound good. Carrie Proffitt: Blockage in heart. Having a lot of pain from his sciatic nerve. Rex Jamerson: Update: He is home, still doing rehab and is still struggling with pain. He is also dealing with a legal situation that he needs prayer for. Shirley Schmidt: Having trouble with her legs. Continued prayers and updates Jane Franks: Had stroke a few months ago. Lisa Jamison: She went to doctor about head and ear aches. They did a CT scan and told her that there is something going on in her head. They are not sure what it is but have scheduled more extensive tests. What they have told her so far does not sound good. Edith Budro: Her son-in-law s brother fell 30 ft. from a pecan tree breaking his arm, fracturing his wrist in two places, along with fracturing several bones in his back. He also broke his pelvis in front and back, along with hitting his head. He may have more injuries then have been reported. Norman & Ruby McClain: They are suffering from many health issues. Rachel Bollig: Update: Her husband has divorced her and the judge is trying to settle their properties between them. That may take up to two months. She has no insurance and is working to keep utilities going. Please pray for the judge that things will get settled quickly. She is still fighting health issues also. Dee Sievers: Has possible gastric cancer. She is also in late stage of COPD/emphysema. Nancy Miles: Health problems. James Lindsay: He is recovering from knee surgery. Farrah Navarette: has a malignant growth on her lung. Rhonda Inboden: broke her ankle and the doctor had to put a plate in to hold bones together. Will be in a cast for at least 3 weeks before going to a walking boot. Brenda Hartnett: David Lind s aunt, health problems. Steve Greene: Hurt his shoulder. Suzanne Nelson: Health problems. It is so important that we receive updates on any prayer requests. If we have not received an update within 30days of posting the prayer request, we will remove them from the list believing that their prayers have been answered. Working together to spread the gospel of Jesus, the Christ IN THE NEWS In case you haven t heard anything in the news, there is a big push within our country to build a reproduction of the 50 foot arch that stood at the temple of Baal in Palmyra, Syria, and erect it in New York city and in London next month. They wish to accomplish this before World Heritage week in April of this year. This push is coming from a joint effort between Harvard University, the University of Oxford and Dubais Museum of the future. These three, together, are calling themselves the Institute of Digital Archaeology. The Institute plans to have approximately 1,000 built by the Chinese and placed in several cities. These will be life-sized models of the original 2,000 year old structure, (Continued on Page 4.) HOLY DAYS By Wendell Yeary It s about time for the Spring Holy Days to begin. Passover will be celebrated on the night of April 21. The First Day of Unleavened Bread will be on Sabbath, April 23. It is real important that all converted Christians keep the Holy Days. In fact, the Passover is so important, that it be kept, that God provided a make-up day, in the event that you could not keep it on the actual day. Numbers 9:9-10: The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the people of Israel, saying, if anyone of you or of your descendants is unclean through touching a dead body, or is on a long journey, he shall still keep the Passover to the Lord.. In the second month on the fourteenth day at twilight they shall (Continued on Page 4.) 3

4 (Holy Days, Continued from Page 3.) keep it. They shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. So, we see that God s annual Holy Days are very important. Now I want to address the Holy Days in a different manner. I have seen, over the years, that there are many in God s church that will come to services on the Holy Days, and that s good, but are not present on His weekly Sabbath. It s not that they never attend services on the Sabbath, but they cannot be counted on to be there in service every week. It reminds me of many in the world of Christianity. They will attend Easter services or Christmas mass and sometimes attend on Sunday, but they are AWOL (Absent Without Leave) the rest of the time. Mankind seems to think that on the Big Days of their religion, they need to attend, but the weekly series are optional. In Leviticus 23:1-2: The Lord spoke to Moses saying, Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, these are the appointed feasts of the Lord that you shall proclaim as holy convocations, they are my appointed feasts. So God tells Moses that the days that He will tell him about are His Days, His appointed times. The first day God tells Moses about is the weekly Sabbath. Leviticus 23:3 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation, you shall do no work, it is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwelling places. We seem to forget that the weekly Sabbath is a Holy Day. There are 52 of them. These 52 Holy Days are not optional. Read again what God told Moses, It is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwelling places. In Deuteronomy 5:12-15 observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you or your son or you daughter or your male servant or your female servant, or your ox or your donkey or any of your live stock, or the sojourners who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you. You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath Day. Why do so many, who should know better, not take God s word concerning His Sabbath as seriously as they should? If you are one of these people, you need to answer this question. No one needs to explain it to me, but perhaps it s time you explain it to God. We call it repentance. END (In The News, Continued from Page 3.) known as the arch of the temple of Baal and will stand approximately 48 feet high and 23 feet wide. In the bible, God warns Israel against worshipping the gods of the nations around them. He warned them that to do so was a great sin, and an abomination in His eyes. The same warning is still in place for us today and we need to heed that same warning. I am writing about this because, I feel that last year, when the Supreme court ruled to legalize same sex marriage, that God turned His back on our nation. Now He is waiting to see how far we will go in sinning against Him. He did the same thing to Israel, His people, centuries ago. One of these warnings is in 2 Chronicles 7:19-20 But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them; Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations. Many will say that this warning is only for Israel. Does God change? If He doesn t punish this nation and the rest of the world for their disobedience, then He will have to apologize to all of those that He sent into captivity, scattered or destroyed for their sins against Him? God s people should not be sitting back and just watching all of this take place. If we don t speak out against these abominable acts and warn the people of the results of sinning against God, then we are as guilty as those who are rebelling against Him and He will hold us accountable. This nation, along with the rest of the world are kindling God s wrath. How long will He wait before He says Enough! I believe that He has already stopped holding back the curses that He promised to put upon all who rebelled against Him. He speaks about these curses in Deuteronomy 28:15-17 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the (Continued on Page 9.) 4

Box 0476 Cagayan de oro city 9000 Philippines In his letter, dated February 21st, Pastor Nestor said that the Lord has been blessing the works in Cebu City and all of the members and students there are active. They do weekly visitations and home bible studies with the people. In Cagayan de Oro City, he said that the work there is great also and they are reaching out to many hungry souls with the truth. The church in Ala-e, Bukidnon is doing real good and the brethren there are standing strong in the faith and in the Lord. The church building in Hilltop, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City is still under construction, but they need more funds to complete the project. They are trusting that God will supply their needs. They will return to Cebu City from March 30th- April 2nd for the next bible sessions and home bible studies. All of the pictures of from the bible training school in Cebu City. Box 667 Suna-migori Kenya, east Africa Pastor Martin along with all the other ministers are working hard preparing for Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. They are looking at possibly having over 1000 people at the coming Spring Holy Days. We are taking into consideration the numbers that came to the Feast of Tabernacles last year and also considering the fact that even more people in different towns and places have asked to join in with the work of spreading the gospel in Kenya and to gain more wisdom and understanding of the word of God. I feel, that one day, Lord willing, He will provide the way for me and others to go there personally to teach them and to learn more about their needs and how we can help. For now, we do not have the funds for such a trip, if we are to be able to continue helping them with getting bibles, hymnals and other materials. If it works out, Martin will be coming to visit us here sometime in August while his wife Melda attends a seminar in Hutchinson, Kansas. We look forward to this opportunity, Lord willing, to meet face to face and fellowship together. Pastor Martin wishes to thank everyone for the pouring out of love, thoughts, prayers and financial support that has been given to help the work going on there. He also knows that there is still a great need in Kenya, as the churches there continue to grow. He asks everyone to continue with everything that you have been doing to help them. 9 the field. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. Deuteronomy 28:18-22 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me. The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it. The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. These curses are coming upon this country. In fact, they have already begun. Why? Well, let s see. Deuteronomy 29:26-27 For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them: And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book: This world does not worship God, they worship their lusts and their own desires. They worship anything and everything that brings them pleasure and suits their needs. Even Christians are becoming tolerant of the despicable things being done by turning a blind eye to what is happening around them. Apparently they think that they ignore it, God won t hold them accountable. They compromise their obedience to God out of fear of the world rejecting them. They are afraid of losing friends or family if they speak out for the truth. Brethren, if we don t warn, then we are just as guilty as those committing the sin and we could just as easily have the same curses fall upon us. Every Spirit filled believer is required by the Lord to speak out against anything that is contrary to the commandments of God, Almighty. Let s consider king David for a moment and remember how he spoke out against the giant Goliath. While everyone was telling him that he was just a boy and that he was foolish in his thinking, he didn t stop. 1 Samuel 17:26 And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? Why wasn t the spirit-filled king of Israel, Saul, saying this? When David s words were spoken to Saul, this is what Saul told him. And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. Saul was trying to convince David that he didn t have the strength to fight Goliath. This is what many of God s people believe, that the giant we face is too strong for us to defeat. They would be correct. We can t defeat our giants on our own, but with God s help, there is nothing that we can t accomplish. There isn t a giant to big for Him and this is what David knew and he spoke this to the king. 1 Samuel 17:37 David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. Saul believed that David was going to his death, but David believed that he was going to his victory. That is the faith that we, God s children, need to have. We are facing a huge giant, in this world, that hates our God, that speaks out against Him and threatens the lives of all believers. This threat will get worse and we, with God s help have to battle against this evil that is growing around the world. Our country, along with the rest of the world have gone astray. They continue to allow false religions and idols into this country in an attempt, as the UN and the pope see it, to show tolerance for all people and their beliefs. These arches of the temple of Baal that they plan to build, are just part of Satan s plan to take man farther and farther away from God, in his attempt to destroy everything that God has created. Consider what the Lord Jesus said in Matthew 24:37-39 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and (Continued on the Last Page.) 9

10 (In the News, Continued from Page 9.) took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Jesus knew the state in which the world would be when He returns. What will He find you doing? What will He find His church doing? Will they be like the ten virgins sleeping and nodding off? Will He find them hiding in shame, afraid to stand up for the Word of God? Or will He find His church, standing firm in the faith, wearing the armor of God, speaking out and letting their lights shine before all of mankind without fear for their physical life? Which will it be? We know what He wants from us. Matthew 5:13-16 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Will you stand up to the giant with the faith of David, or the faith of Saul, king of Israel? Remember that God is with us, just as He was with David, just as He has been with all of His children. We need to stand firm in our faith and trust of the Father and His Son. Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
