4 I m Free Don t grieve for me, for now I m free; I m following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard him call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow; I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life s been full, I savored much; good friends, good times, a loved one s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief; don t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me; God wanted me now, He set me free.

Broad St. Greensboro, Georgia Kenneth Malcom Rowland It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth Malcom Rowland announces his passing after a brief illness, on Friday July 20, 2018, at the age of 83 years at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, GA. He was born October 4, 1934 son of W.W. Rowland and Rosa Taylor Rowland of Vidalia, Georgia in Toombs County. Mr. Rowland graduated in 1952 from Vidalia High School. He then came to Atlanta to attend Southern Business College. He worked for Colonial Stores Home Office in East Point, GA in the accounting department. He took leave to serve his country in the Marine Corp and after receiving an honorable discharge in 1956 returned back to Colonial Stores and Georgia State College where he majored in Accounting. While employed with Colonial Stores, Kenneth moved to progressively higher positions within the Accounting Department and after 31 ½ years retired in 1984 as Comptroller of the Southern Division of Colonial Stores. Kenneth was a faithful member of Union Point First Baptist Church where he served on the Deacons Board. He was also a member of Greene County Recreation and was former member of the Lion s Club. Mr. Rowland is survived by his beloved wife Faye Mullins Rowland of 61 years, his son, Randy Rowland and his daughter-in-law Katherine Rowland of Gainesville, GA; his granddaughter Katie Rowland Denning and her husband William Denning of Gainesville, GA and his granddaughter Stephanie Rowland Cosner and her husband Matthew Cosner of Cumming, GA. Katie and Stephanie were the light of his life and in January 2018 he was so proud to be promoted to the role of great grandfather when his great granddaughter Charley Denning arrived. He is also survived by his beloved little puppy Sadie. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Callaway Funeral Home Chapel, 208 N. Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA with Rev. Marc Lhowe officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time for the service at Callaway Funeral Home in Union Point.
